The USC Trojans are the current favorites at the online sportsbooks to win the 2013 BCS Championship. Here's a full rundown of the listed college football odds to win the 2013 BCS Championship, from the favored Trojans, Tigers, and Crimson Tide down through the longshot teams in college football.
Odds to Win 2013 BCS Championship Game at BOVADA as of July 3: USC 3/1 Alabama 11/2 LSU 11/2 Oklahoma 10/1 Florida State 12/1 Oregon 12/1 Georgia 14/1 Arkansas 20/1 Michigan 20/1 Notre Dame 28/1 Yeah, he lost two games with probably the most talented team in CFB, certainly the most talented west of the Mississippi. So, USC loses their best coach EVER, (many consider John McKay our best coach ever with 4 NC's) replaces him with an NFL reject, mediocre SEC coach after getting hit with the biggest NCAA sanctions in years, and their recruiting improved?
WTF? Has Kiffin ever had a job longer than 3-4 years? Urban Meyers first two head coaching jobs were 2 years at each school - WTF?
Meyer got his first job at Bowling Green at age 37 - went 17-6 his first two years
Kiffin got his job at SC at age 35 - went 18-7 first first two years with bowl game bans and recruiting sanctions that included juniors and seniors having the ability to leave with no restrictions
The guys has never won ****, inherited a ridiculously talented team and that makes him a good coach? Why did he suck at Tennessee? Kiffin led the Vols to a 7-6 record in 2009, an improvement from their 5-7 record in 2008. The Vols increased their offensive output by more than 60 percent in 2009 with Kiffin calling the offensive plays
He's Larry Coker, some nobody given one of the easiest jobs imaginable. My mother could have gone 10-2 coaching the Trojans last year. He sure can recruit, though why any top recruits want to play for a guy who's not even the best Kiffin on the coaching staff is beyond me. Let's just chalk it up to massive, grotesque stupidity and move on then. Kiffin is an obvious scumbag, so suspect more NCAA violations, probably of the recruiting variety given the illogical and inexplicable recruiting success such a mediocre D-bag is having there. Maybe the recruits see "USC players get paid" and are going there because they think, rightly or wrongly, that that is what happens. But how to explain Kelly, who may have killed an ND student, or PSU and Miami that both deserve the death penalty? Urban Meyer is a legit legendary HC, so guys should want to come from all over to play for him. But Lane Kiffin? Seriouslly? Is there anybody who has ever worked with or played for Lane Kiffin that has anything nice to say about him? I hear even his mother thinks he's a total dick. So, your defense of Lane Kiffin is that he lost one more game at USC than Urban Meyer did in his first two years at Bowling Green? With vastly superior talent, facilities, etc., your guy, Kiffin, still lost one more game than Urban Meyer did at Podunk U? And you think that is a defense of Lane Kiffin? Wow, so Lane Kiffin took the Vols from 5-7 all the way up to 7-6. Let' see, one of those wins was against an FCS team, Western Kentucky, so he only beat 6 div 1 teams. He lost to UCLA, no wonder USC hired him, but managed to beat such powerhouses as Ohio, Memphis, Vanderbilt and Kentucky, in OT. 4 of his 6 Div 1 wins came against total crap teams. He had a close loss against Alabama, but got destroyed several times, 17-42 at Ole Miss and 14-37 vs VTech in the ChickfilA Bowl. Larry Coker has done more than Lane Kiffin ever did. Kiffin is a shitty, mediocre coach, who got the ridiculous job of a lifetime not based on any apparent talent or ability. And is now recruiting like he actually knows what he is doing. Could almost any HC have gone 7-6 at Tennessee in 2009? Yeah. Could almost any HC had gone 10-2 last year at USC? Yeah. Can Lane Kiffin even hold Urban Meyer's jockstrap? No. Kiffin is a punk, a no-talent scumbag and anyone who is just dying to play for Kiffin is either dirty like Reggie Bush, or just a ******* retard, like you are. Do you feel pwned yet? Cuz it kinda feels like you're pwned. WTF? Has Kiffin ever had a job longer than 3-4 years? Urban Meyers first two head coaching jobs were 2 years at each school - WTF?
Everything I posted was factual - your post is all hate based opinion
Meyer turned around a crap Bowling Green team, then moved to Utah and built them up to an undefeated season and then went to win 2 NCs at Florida. Kiffen was run out of Oakland, and when you're too much of a scumbag for Al Davis, you're an Olympian of D-baggery. He then goes 6-6 against division 1 teams one year at Tennessee, with one win being OT so he could easily have had a losing record, after embaassing himself and predicting huge things before starting the season. Yeah, 6-6. After that humiliating failure for those predicted big things, he jumps to USC where goes barely over .500 his first year with a still loaded team and manages to lose two games last season even with much more talent than every team he played. Urban has moved up in the world, the difference is that BG, Utah and Florida would all love to have him back, and wanted him to stay. Nobody who ever worked with Kiffin wants to see him again. He has burned brigdes everywhere he has ever been, he has been a scumbag everywhere he's been. When I say that Kiffin never holds a job, I mean because he screws up so badly that he's leaving town a step ahead of the Sheriff. When Meyer leaves, everyone is begging him to stay. Both USC and OSU are top programs, but Meyer proved himself and earned the job. Kiffin has only proved himself to be a scrub with the Devil's luck. You know what that feeling is? Yeah, pwnage. WTF? Has Kiffin ever had a job longer than 3-4 years? Urban Meyers first two head coaching jobs were 2 years at each school - WTF?
nothing but a Hater .....how very sad Kiffen has never kept a job because he is such a **** up, het gets run out of town. Has Kiffen ever had a long-term job? No. Has Meyer? Yes. Has Kiffen ever won ANYWHERE he's been? No. Has Meyer won EVERYWHERE he's been? Yes. Has Kiffen ever won anything significant? No. Has Meyer? A couple of national titles. So, you tried to defend your dude as a good coach who turned around Tennessee, but you gave that up pretty quickly when I pointed out he went 6-6 and 4 of those wins were against awful teams, and one was an OT win that could have gone either way. You tried to compare Kiffen to Meyer, but the only weak comparison you are still trying to make is that Meyer, like Kiffen, has had several jobs. The difference is that Meyer was never fired or run out of town being chased by peasants with pitchforks. That's a significant difference. USC + massive scandals + scholarship reduction + garbage head coach = BEST RECRUITING EVER ? Seems legit. PSU + massive scandals + potential death penalty + cipher as head coach = BEST RECRUITING IN A DECADE Seems legit. Those scandals have really hurt recruiting when no-name d-bags and morons are recruiting with legends like Meyer and Saban. Completely illogical, Michigan or Texas or OK all have as much or more tradition as USC and PSU, and there are no scandals and more competent coaches, and kids still chose Lane Kiffen or O'Brien over Urban Meyer or Mack Brown? Worse coaches, more scandals, and that sounds like the place to play? WTF is wrong with America?

Maybe its arrests - drug use and preferential treatment that help recruitinghttp://www2.tbo.com/sports/gators/2012/apr/09/6/re port-uf-went-out-of-control-under-meyer-ar-390245 The Gators then limped to an 8-5 finish in 2010 following Tebow's departure, including a home loss to Mississippi State and their first defeat against FSU in seven years, and Meyer again announced his resignation before an Outback Bowl win over Penn State. This time, UF responded by naming Gainesville native and Texas defensive coordinator Will Muschamp as his replacement.
Even Meyer, now at Ohio State, called the Florida program "broken" late in the 2010 season, and Muschamp, players say, was left to deal with a fractured locker room plagued by a lengthy record of arrests, drug use, preferential treatment for star players and a lack of respect for coaches. One former player, Zephyrhills native Bryan Thomas, said "The program was out of control."
Players point to the season-opening game in 2008 against Hawaii as an example of the star treatment typically afforded to established performers. WR Percy Harvin, TE Aaron Hernandez and LB Brandon Spikes all missed the game because of injuries, according to Meyer, but other Gators say the three were sitting out because they failed drug tests, a fact Meyer wanted to keep private.
"Over the last two years (Meyer) was there," one former player said, "the players had taken complete control of the team."
Harvin, who was part of what other players called Meyer's "Circle of Trust," was also referenced in a conditioning drills incident before the 2007 season. The Gators were climbing stadium steps when Harvin, now with the Minnesota Vikings, sat down and refused to go on. The next day, a former player claims, the team switched to playing basketball for its offseason conditioning.
Then, in the 2008 season, Harvin attacked receivers coach Billy Gonzales, throwing him to the ground, but was never disciplined for his actions. Meyer, who spoke with Sporting News for the article, acknowledged there was an altercation between the two.
"Something did happen and something was handled," Meyer said. "I don't think it's fair to Percy Harvin or Billy Gonzales to talk about it."
Gonzales eventually left UF for LSU, placing his keys, cell phone and a resignation letter on Meyer's desk, according to the report.
But Harvin was far from the only problem child for Meyer and the Gators. At least 30 players were arrested during his six-year run, including star defensive lineman Carlos Dunlap, who was found unconscious in the driver's seat of a car in the middle of a Gainesville intersection after midnight the week of the season-defining 2009 game against Alabama. All-American cornerback Janoris Jenkins also failed a drug test and was arrested for his involvement in a bar fight during Meyer's tenure. Sources claim Jenkins threatened to quit the team after the 2008 Hawaii game, possibly in response to the treatment given to Harvin, Hernandez and Spikes. Following Muschamp's hiring, Jenkins was arrested twice more for marijuana possession and eventually transferred to North Alabama.
The report says that New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick spoke to the team this past offseason, indirectly using former Gators as a cautionary tale about the perils of drug use.
"His message was, in essence, don't be like those guys," a source said. Thomas, the Zephyrhills native who played safety for the Gators, claims he was told by Meyer to "move on" after the 2008 championship season because he wasn't part of the team's future plans. He had suffered a knee injury and says he was given a medical hardship letter stating the injury would keep him from being able to play, essentially freeing up an athletic scholarship for another player.
"I told them I wasn't leaving," Thomas said, "and if they tried to force me to leave, I was going to tell everyone everything."
You might want to seriously reconsider this statement: Those scandals have really hurt recruiting when no-name d-bags and morons are recruiting with legends like Meyer and Saban. OK, this is progress. You started by loudly complaining about how my characterization of Kiffin as a d-bag who couldn't coach was wrong, and you tried to show what a great HC Kiffin was. By pointing out he went 6-6 in the SEC vs div 1 teams, including a humiliating Bowl defeat. He then did slightly better the next year with a loaded USC team, and still managed to lose "only" 2 games last year when every team USC faced had inferior talent, but clearly equal or superior coaching. You're not defending Lane Kiffin as a coach anymore. Then you switched to comparing how Kiffin wasn't really a failure as a coach, and a total d-bag, by pointing out that Meyer too has had several jobs. The difference is that Meyer was never fired or run out of town, when that is what has happened to Lane Kiffin everyplace he has been a HC. I asked if Kiffin has ever had a job for 3-4 years, and your response was "has Meyer?" Yes, several years at Florida, and 2 NCs. Looks like you have stopped trying to defend Kiffin's d-baggedy and getting fired by pretending that every HC makes a total ass of themselves and has to move on to a new job every few years. No they don't. You're not defending Lane Kiffin's character anymore. Now you have completely dropped any defense of Lane Kiffin, so that we means that we all agree about these points: Lane Kiffin is a shitty coach, Lane Kiffin is a shitty human being, Lane Kiffin has never won or accomplished anything of significance in his coaching career. Good, that was the point I made. Any recruits, or families of recruits, who think a no-talent scumbag like Lane Kiffin would be a good guy to play for CAN ONLY BE ******* RETARDS. Just like you have proven yourself to be. You post an article about how Meyer had troubles at Florida, that players used drugs? No ****, happens everywhere, and Meyer learned some lessons. USC was allowing players to be paid, as well as ignoring their drug habits. So, yeah, players use drugs and get into trouble, USC got slapped by the NCAA in a major scandal because they did everything that happened at Florida, plus a whole lot more. USC: major NCAA scandal + scholarship reductions + garbage head coach = best recruiting ever? OSU: significant NCAA scandal + some scholarship reductions + best HC in CFB = best recruiting ever. Only one of those makes any sense. Lane Kiffin is a no-talent scrub, and even you tacitly admit that by not even trying to defend his record, his character or his ability as a coach. Urban Meyer has won everywhere he's been, Kiffin hasn't done **** anywhere. Only Saban is in Meyer's class as a coach, while any retard could have lost "only" 2 games last year with USC's loaded roster and experienced QB. Even Larry Coker has accomplished more than Lane Kiffin ever has. Expect Kiffin to be run out of town, followed by scandals in a few years. All your USC recruits better get used to playing for Mike Riley, because that's gonna happen based on Kiffin's track record and total lack of anything approximating integrity and humility.

RE: Scandals Helping Recruiting?
Kiffin's resume does seem incomplete. Pretty hard to judge the man as a coach just yet. He's obviously proving himself to be a hell of a salesman.
Can he sustain a program? At USC he probably can.

The Gators then limped to an 8-5 finish in 2010 following Tebow's departure, including a home loss to Mississippi State and their first defeat against FSU in seven years, and Meyer again announced his resignation before an Outback Bowl win over Penn State.

I guess everybody is an idiot or a retard except for....well, not except for you Circle back and try to defend your guy after all? Make up your mind man, just figure out what you are trying to argue. When you don't have facts, try opinions. You know the deal with opinions being like ********? Everyone's got one. And the opinions you collected from these ******** is about as impressive as what these same ******** thought about Joe Paterno a year ago. These morons don't know ****. Larry Coker was Coach of the Year too, he won a NC and nearly another with another guys team and players. That's more than Lane Kiffin has done with another guys team. I like how you have conceded all the facts. Kiffin was collosal embarrassment at Tennessee, his record sucked. His record sucked in Oakland too, and got run out. His first year at USC was pretty shitty, even with all that talent. Last year, he had a super talented team and a veteran WB who would have been a top 5 pick in this past NFL draft. Kiffin didn't do any of that, and his super talented and veteran team still lost 2 games. Those are called "the facts." The facts are that Kiffin is not a good coach, he is mediocre at best. Even mediocre coaches can win a lot of games with a ridiculously talented team, see Larry Coker and even Kiffin last year. The facts are that Kiffin is a total douchebag who has never won anything anywhere, never proved he was an expert of anything except snake oil. Urban Meyer, complete legend. Lane Kiffin, complete douchebag. There is ZERO comparison between the two based on the facts. Can any ******* have an opinion? Sure. Have fun with your scumbag HC, and to all the recruits and family of recruits out there... I TOLD YOU SO. Just wait.

Former USC and NFL wide receiver Keary Colbert: "He's just like Coach Carroll. He's high-spirited and likes to have fun." I guess everybody is an idiot or a retard except for....well, not except for you Circle back and try to defend your guy after all? Make up your mind man, just figure out what you are trying to argue. Sure. http://www2.tbo.com/sports/gators/2012/apr/09/6/re port-uf-went-out-of-control-under-meyer-ar-390245
The Gators then limped to an 8-5 finish in 2010 following Tebow's departure, including a home loss to Mississippi State and their first defeat against FSU in seven years, and Meyer again announced his resignation before an Outback Bowl win over Penn State.
You might want to seriously reconsider this statement:
Those scandals have really hurt recruiting when no-name d-bags and morons are recruiting with legends like Meyer and Saban. Completely illogical, Michigan or Texas or OK all have as much or more tradition as USC and PSU, and there are no scandals and more competent coaches, and kids still chose Lane Kiffen or O'Brien over Urban Meyer or Mack Brown? Worse coaches, more scandals, and that sounds like the place to play? WTF is wrong with America?
PWNED!!!
WHAT THEY'RE SAYING ABOUT LANE KIFFIN Steve Greenberg, Sporting News: "He performed as well as any coach in America in 2011." David Leon Moore, USA Today: "Lane Kiffin is just flat out getting it done, in recruiting, in organizing and in play-calling. The coaching has been excellent. When a team gets better and better and better all season, that says a lot about coaching." Ted Miller, ESPN.com: "USC returned to the nation's elite in Year Two under coach Lane Kiffin. With no hope for a conference or national title or even the postseason (in 2011), Kiffin had the Trojans playing their best football." John Taylor, NBCSports.com: "Considering the sanctions with which Kiffin and the football program had to deal, the coach that everybody loves to hate has done an outstanding job." Richard Cirminiello, CollegeFootballNews.com: "Troy is back. And much faster than anyone could have imagined. USC is on the verge of reclaiming its old familiar spot as a Pac-12--and national--contender following a month (November 2011) of domination that'll go down as one of the most crucial in recent program history. With nothing tangible to play for, such as bowl berths or hardware, the Trojans used November to build a head of steam, and recapture some of its lost swagger in the wake of the sanctions levied by the NCAA...Lane Kiffin has earned his share of criticism over the years for some of his on-field and off-field antics, but not this season. The coach did a fantastic job of keeping his kids focused amidst distractions, and got them to buy into the long-term mission of the team." Bruce Feldman, CBS Sports: "Despite the shadow of the NCAA sanctions and no post-season bowl hopes, USC has been rolling in 2011, picking up momentum. They ended Oregon's 21-game home winning streak, which had been the longest in the country. The Trojans finished the season hammering UCLA 50-0, meaning they beat their two archrivals by a combined score of 81-17." Former UCLA head coach Terry Donahue: "I know there's a lot of controversy around Lane, but people don't have the proper appreciation of his ability to coach. He's a very fine young developing coach and I thought his 2011 team showed really strong progress." Tom Lemming, MaxPreps.com: "He's personable and the players absolutely love him. He works as hard as any coach in the country." Matt Hayes, Sporting News: "Kiffin has more than proved he can develop quarterbacks and expose defenses as a play-caller." Greg Biggins, ESPNRise.com: "To the recruits and parents we've talked to, USC hired Vince Lombardi." USC quarterback Matt Barkley: "I think it's really good USC has someone who knows Trojan football and the traditions and knows how we rock." Grant Tunkel, Daily Trojan: "The Kiffin hire was exactly what USC needed to continue the legacy that Pete Carroll built. Hiring Kiffin provides the Trojans with a perfect mix. He is enough of a link to the Carroll era to instill continued confidence in the program from the start, but he's still his own coach with the drive to succeed. He knows the landscape well. You are living proof of that Fired in Oakland. 6-6 at Tennessee, including a 37-14 bowl humiliation by only a decent Va Tech team. He inherited a loaded USC team that was preseason ranked #14 his first year, and he finished the year unranked. Last year, with a loaded, veteran team with a QB who would gone in the top 5 had he come out last draft, Kiffin still lost 2 games. Urban Meyer has 2 NCs and has won everywhere he's been. Kiffin has never won anything and has been chased out of town everywhere he's been. Now, find anything in the above that is an OPINION and not a FACT. Georgia was preseason #1 a few years ago too, by the same ******** you love to quote so much. Everyone's got an opinion, almost all of them are wrong. You can have your own opinion, but you can't have your own facts. Buh-bye now.

I have no dog in this fight and I can tell you that I also cannot stand Lane Kiffen. However, I live in Tennessee and am close friends with MANY Tennessee fans and I can tell you that he absolutely did not get run out of town. People in Knoxville and UT fan all over the state were VERY upset when he decided to leave for USC. They absolutely did want him to stay and were excited about the future with him in charge at UT. Now once he left he is absolutely now the most hated man in the state of TN but to say he was run out of town and not wanted in Knoxville is absolutely false.

Re: Scandals Helping Recruiting?
There is a weekly thread on the VOL board about how they wish Kiffin was still there. Anybody who says he was a failure at Tennessee(or even Oakland) is delusional. Jury is still out, but it appears he has gotten off to a pretty decent start. They all start somewhere, including Meyer. trojanbeliever wrote:

Tennessee loved Kiffin until he walked out on them for his dream job that would never open again. Also, he got kicked out of Oakland because of Al Davis, the fans really liked him. Lastly, if Kiffin is such a shitty coach than why, despite all the troubles involving USC, can he still be the best recruiter in country. It doesn't add up. Those are the facts, and everything you are saying is one douche bags opinion.
You are making a mockery of yourself as well as Buckeye nation and it needs to stop.

Blue C would tell you that this is just a stupid opinion and anybody who has anything to positive to say about Kiffin is a retard and an idiot.
you should be worshiping at the feet of Urban Meyer You do realize this is an OSU board? You act as if this board is unique in being myopic towards our players and coaches. I have been to USC's board and if there is any that gives a lack of respect to others your fans are right up there. Do you waste all of this board space lecturing them when they behave this way or are we special?
Arguing that a proposition is true because belief in it has good consequences, or that it is false because belief in it has bad consequences is often an irrelevancy.
