Johnny Townsend Nugget (chomp chomp)

Posted: 2/7/2013 12:53 AM

Johnny Townsend Nugget (chomp chomp)

Johnny Townsend to Florida.

This is now a done deal.
You heard it here first.

He's officially a Gator.

EDIT: And this not humor this time.  This is REAL.

Way to take premium info from other sites and claim it as your own.

Well done.

Re: Johnny Townsend Nugget (chomp chomp)

Will he be removed from the list of commits then at this point...and if so, the recalculation of the points puts OSU in 2nd place in the recruiting standing after removing Townsend.  TOS has already removed Townsend form their site and is showing OSU with 24 commits for the class??

Bush league move by Meyer.  So - Meyer wants total commitment from his players, but he doesn't follow his own rules?  Not impressed.

The Townsends say that his offer wasn't pulled.

Baloney - they forced it on the kid when they ran out of scholarships.  Not pulling an offer means nothing if they told him they couldn't take him.  Bunch of double-talk nonsense.

Re: Johnny Townsend Nugget (chomp chomp)

why to people respond to this mongoloid?  this special needs poster thinks spreading rumors on the internet is "humor."  a grade 'a' pinhead. probably also homeless and on welfare, so we should not respond to him in hopes that he finds employment so he stops milking the system.

Re: Johnny Townsend Nugget (chomp chomp)

That's a relief.
I wasn't that worried either way but kinda wanted Townsend to sign as we can use him.
RBUCC2008 saying he's going somewhere else assures he's coming here.  Dude has been 100% wrong with amazing accuracy!
I can only assume he has mega inside info an for whatever reason post the opposite.

Welcome abord Townsend!

They didn't "run out of scholarships"  so that's false.  I mean how much would making a copy cost?  (I'm guessing you don't understand how they work so, yea I'm being sarcastic)

And given the kid ans his family dispute you - your false claim is what is Bush league.

If the kid decides to go elsewhere that's his choice and he should go where he feels most comfortable.
Pretending any of these internet "insiders" have any clue after they NEVER posted he was having second thoughts until it was obvious to everyone something was up AND they kept telling us he was going to Alabama which was obviously bunk - believing they have ANY clue is stupid.  They don't.  They are guessing like you or me.  They just pretend they know so folks that forget they are nearly always wrong will pay for them being right once in a while.

If you followed this OSU recruiting season and think ANY of these sites actually has any inside info - you are beyond gullible.

If they held a schollie open for him and he was asked to wait until after signing day and up to the point where they would fit him in, then it became a decision of trusting Meyer to keep his word or take another opportunity if offered elsewhere,

Meyer has done this before.. at least once down here.. and he kept his word.

Certainly not doubletalk nonsense.

Sounds good, but that's not what happened.  Did they tell him a year ago when he committed that he would be replaced if something better came along?  Trusting Meyer to keep his word?? You have got to be kidding - he did trust him - in fact he probably didn't realize he really didn't have a scholarship.

Re: Johnny Townsend Nugget (chomp chomp)

What's your source here? Seems like no one knows the story for sure except you.

Even his parents aren't castigating Meyer or OSU which seems odd if Meyer pulled a fast one.

So what exactly was he informed .. this year and last?

And how do you know this and the "insiders" missed it?

In this case (since Ohio State can't comment on it)...I tend to believe the kid and the kids parents that have not said anything of the sort of what your saying.

Why are you calling Townsend's parents liars?  That's Bush League of you.
BTW - I do love the theory that Meyer pulled the kids scholarship and crushed his dreams - so his parents react by protecting Meyer and throwing their kid under the bus!  Amazing, theory.

You are throwing out something you can't back up and goes 100% against what facts we do know - then getting upset by your wild accusations?  Please.

You have an opinion.  That opinion contradicts all facts that have come out, including facts from the Townsends themselves.  If you want to be a 9/11 Truther about the Townsend situation, go ahead.

LOL, then Kurelic took it from me.
He starts 900 #'s, he steals valuable recruiting info from the internet's most credible posters, he takes your soul, he's just ruthless.

Thank you.

The other poster is simply a hater posing as a buckeye fan. He is trying to start bullsh!t rumors because he cannot believe how great of a coach/recruiter Urban is. He secretly wishes Meyer coached his team. He was hoping like many other haters to find out that Urban missed out on some of the hot prospects he was after on signing day, so he could start slamming Meyer about how he can't close, etc, much like they used to do Tressel. Meyer did something he didn't expect though. HE GOT THEM ALL!!!!

Go Bucks & Go Meyer!!!
