William Houston (Two-Star Committ)

Posted: 2/6/2013 11:05 PM

William Houston (Two-Star Committ)

Has never been added/counted to OSU's class.

He's enrolled and was a recruited - and ranked (119th RB) prospect.

Scholarship or no - he is a two-star recruit just like the two-star recruits that dot all but a handful of elite schools.

Just seems he should count for something in this class.

Walk ons don't count even though he's like the average Penn State commit.

Gotta love a kid who wants to play for the hometown team. Nice frame. Unfortunately, it might be tough for him to earn the scholarship in his last couple of years when we are facing the sanctions. Kids like William are very important to the program.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but seeing as he's only a freshman, we are done with sanctions by 'his last couple of years'. noidea

Correct, but Meyer might need to fill the depth chart with 4 and 5 star talent by the time William would be deserving. Those 3 spots will hurt our development even if it does not seem significant now. But perhaps if Houston is a great special teams and overall team player Meyer might think it is worth it.
