almost positive Vonn Bell is gonna play some at safety maybe even Burrows. I think James Clark and Corey Smith get playing time at receiver. Mitchell and Johnson will play some at LB

First name that came to mind is Dontre Wilson. I think he will get some decent PT this year. I can't wait to see what Urb does with all his weapons in place!

It's going to be interesting as this infusion of talent sure ups the ante when it comes to competition all the way around. Meyer likes, as proven in the past, to use these young guys on special teams, so I can see some there. I'd have to think Bell, Clark, Marshall, Mitchell all play. And many others, too.

I think they will find a way to use Wilson. A very close friend who knows the Oregon coaches well told me that Wilson was their number one target this year. He says we have not seen speed like this kid. I believe they had seven coaches at his home last week trying to convince him to stay at Oregon.

Re: So We Know Who We Got -- So What Freshman Do We Use in 2013
The Wide Receivers recruited will be on the field. Listening to Meyer's press conference, he said a weakness was having only one or two fast WRs. His solution adding a good number more. The rotation at WR should keep the opposing secondary winded.
There are some players in this class that are so good that they could either start or be a big part of the defensive rotation.
Meyer talks about no-reshirting. He told his recruits he would have his coaching staff work with them to get them on the playing field.
The combination on the player's individual efforts and the coaching staff, coaching each and every player up, should provide results.
His press conference, he also mentioned one in three do not make it, one in three are ok and one in three excel. He wanted to change those numbers at Ohio State.
He as a very good class and some say a great class. Just like NFL drafts, it looks good on paper and highlight videos. The playing on the field will confirm it with results.
The offense has improved as well as the defense. The special teams is always a concern.
It is interesting to be classified as a 17 or 18 posts young buck. I have 17,000 posts for the Cleveland Browns. I read this board daily and it is a great board. Keep up the great work.

My guess is a lot on special teams, some of Marshall/Zeke/Wilson/Clark on offense, perhaps a linebacker getting some time, and then not a whole lot past that.

the number of wrs in this class are amazing: Marshall, Clark, Smith, Wilson? i'd say Meyer addressed the need.

Speed at DE equals Bosa. He'll probably come in at 6-6, 280 and hes very athletic.

Wilson puts one foot in the ground and doesn't slow down. Ginn was just all straight line speed.

He also could juke you out of your shorts. Just ask a former weasel # 14 Trent. Ginn made him look absolutely silly on more than a few occasions. They look very simular in size and running styles Trent is not shown in this video just take a look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2LpljRPlK8

Re: So We Know Who We Got -- So What Freshman Do We Use in 2013
QB - Barrett will probably redshirt.
RB - Elliott will probably redshirt unless Warren Ball transfers.
WR - Corey Smith will play in 4 and 5 WR sets
HARVIN - Dontre Wilson will play a lot, as you guys said. - James Clark will also play a lot, and not redshirt.
ATH - Jalin Marshall will play a lot. Wow, what a WR crop.
OL - Evan Lisle will be on the 2-Deep.
DL - Joey Bosa will be on the 2-Deep. - Michael Hill will be on the 2-Deep. - None of the other DL recruits will be on the 2-Deep this year, thanks to last year's recruiting depth.
LB - Mike Mitchell and Trey Johnson could get significant playing time if Curtis Grant and others are not stepping up. Are these two ahead of Bam Perkins and Camren Williams?
CB - Eli Apple or Cam Burrows could be the nickelback. Watch out for Gareon Conley.
S - Von Bell could beat out Christian Bryant to start, or fill in for C.J. Barnett when he faces the annual injury bug.
S - Darron Lee - don't sleep on him.

RE: So We Know Who We Got -- So What Freshman Do We Use in 2013
maybe Wilson, too, but i think Marshall has the edge over him and Clark as far as the majority of early slot minutes. Clark and Wilson will be on special teams returns all season long, though. Wilson will be the slot receiver of the future as Marshall gets transitioned to a more general wide-out target #1 and Clark will eventually get reps at slot and some outside, as well. just my prognostication.

Re: So We Know Who We Got -- So What Freshman Do We Use in 2013
The biggest advantage among the incoming freshman may be for Apple and Burrows - they are already enrolled. So they will get Mariotti's winter conditioning and all of spring practice to start learning defensive schemes and responsibilities. Both have the physical talent to see the field quickly as soon as the mental part becomes ready.

Meyer had trouble containing his giddiness when discussing Marshall, Clark, and Wilson. Especially Marshall.

Re: So We Know Who We Got -- So What Freshman Do We Use in 2013
Bryant and Barnett better have great off-seasons, because we have lacked the coverage skills at safety that Bell has for quite a while.
