Re: Hopefully Billy Price or Donovan Munger can play OL

Re: Hopefully Billy Price or Donovan Munger can play OL

Some good points in this thread.  I'm not too worried about this unless we miss out in 2014.

My obvious concern is depth though for a few reasons:

Busts, attrition, and injuries, or any combination of the three.   It's obvious this staff wants to sign one more OL -perhaps they can get the kid from Nebraska.  I am aware of the success we had on the OL in 2012, much of it to Warinner's credit.

BTW it is true that the pro style will attract the best OL. (or at least until views change based on trends in the NFL.)  Many kids claimed this as the reason they chose a school. That said, I think we will be fine on the OL due to scheme and coaching, however, I would feel better in the future if we offer more scholarships for OL than skill players.  An elite OL should always be the foundation of a team, because it decides the performance of every unit, and obviously can benefit your defense as well.

Billy is humongous. I saw him on the field first game and i could see him playing guard.  Idk because he is a beast on the DL.
