Verbals: Soft vs. Solid... whom do you trust more?
Rivals and Scouts have some differences, but one thing that I haven't been able to wrap my head around is why Scout will change the status of a verbal commit (see: Elliott, T. Johnon and for a short period, Munger) from 'Solid Verbal' so 'Soft Verbal', while Rivals (which also uses the 'Soft Verbal' status where appropriate) hasn't changed the status of any of our class's verbals.
Is it because they have a less nervous trigger finger, or is it because there is a lack of consensus on what the reality is? Or is it something else?
Thoughts?

I think Scout changes it if a verbal visits elsewhere.

I don't trust any of the kids until they sign, show up on campus and play the first snap of the first game.

Instead of soft verbal, they should call it limp verbal.
And instead of hard verbal, they should call it stiff verbal.
