Re: Corey Smith is a Buckeye

Very good news.  We definitely could use some more good outside guys and Corey looks like he fits the bill.  Good pickup.  Impressive looking highlight reel.

Why would he say he is committed and then take a visit? And why would Urban accept his commitment if he is visiting TENN??
He's not creating any drama.  Settle down a bit.

Paul Keels will undoubtedly screw that up for the next few years.  Corey Brown, Devin Smith, Corey Smith...

Re: Corey Smith is a Buckeye

This is great news for Ohio State. Corey Smith is rated as a very high recruit. He is a very good receiver and one that has college experience. If Corey is plan B, then he is a great plan B. I am glad he is a Buckeye. Shows that kids who work hard can still get a second chance.

Very fast reciever that the Staff is very happy to have in this class. The best thing is that Corey is not same 1st year project like freshmen. He will impact the defensive coverage and open up mismatches on offense. You can not cover all the offensive weapons that are in this class. Smith just increases the "go the distance" options.

Welcome Corey to the Buckeye family.

Go Bucks!

Corey is a threat, maybe a better pickup for our system than any of the other wr prospects we missed on.

Re: Corey Smith is a Buckeye

Corey is a great fit-more mature and ready to play than a frosh WR, plus he is an Ohio boy, which I like to see. I think Devin Smith will see some real competition for his spot if he keeps up w/ his dropsies.

There's a certain kind of reassuring white rock....and some people do well with that.....

RE: Corey Smith is a Buckeye

From the youtube vid looks like he needs to hit the weight room.  Also, looks like he had a little trouble getting off the line but after that he outclassed his opponents.  Looks like excellent hands though.

Looks like he's a pretty good route runner and has nice acceleration.

Acceleration out of sharp cuts. That more than top end speed creates seperation.
