Kinda proves my point......

The proof is in the pudding, meyer is having problems recruiting top level OL. Buck fans don't get bent out of shape, it's just the way it is.
he's only a 3 star prospect so i wouldn't say he's top level

Lisle, Decker, Dodson and Jones in a 2 year span is great, especially when you look at the kids being brought in at other positions.  Just because your coach recruits linemen like Matt Millen drafts WR's doesn't mean its a good thing.  Matter of fact, what has Hoke accomplished in his career that shows he knows how to build winning program?

It is absolutely amazing how SEC bottom feeders like Arkansas and Kentucky are winnning recruiting battles against the Big Ten's premier tiers.

It's amazing that you weren't aborted.

Skipper had formed a great relationship with the OL coach from UT, that is now at Arkansas. Has nothing to do with the SEC or the B1G.

That poster is dumber than a bag of rocks.
The NFL is a blaze to the spread and dual threat QB's, does he own a TV?
Chase Farris tore it up late as a switch to OL, and at 6'6" and 300 with his athleticism is has 3 years left at OL.  He had close to 35 offers across all BCS conferences when he committed to OSU in March of his junior year, another stud athletic OL.
This dufus talks about the spread, and it is the hottest movement in the NFL.  Teams and GM's, plus coaches are migrating to those mobile QB's and that offense is the future.
This loser just throws crap against the wall like the spread, it's all the spread in the NFL and how hot young gun QB's like Newton, RGIII, Russell Wilson and Kapernick are the talk of the league.
Just like college football, the QB's kids want to emulate are Johnny Manziel, Tajh Boyd, Braxton Miller and Oregon's QB's.
Guy is a complete buffoon.
Brings up Notre Dame, yeah.  They have not been close to a national title for 22 years until this year, and are 0-4 in BCS bowls and have lost all four BCS bowls by an average of four touchdowns.
Ohio State dominated the midwest under Tressel with lesser recruited OL kids mostly out of Ohio, where Notre Dame and Michigan were what they both are now, irrelevant.  Michigan and Notre Dame, blah blah blah.  Both got their pants pulled down and embarrassed on the big state this year with Bama, both have been irrelevant this whole 2000 era.  Both have gotten beat like a drum against OSU for quite a while recently as well.

He is having to fend off michigan and notre dame in the midwest, not to mention sec schools which have $$ and sunshine year round to sell.

He was lucky penn st imploded last year, otherwise he would have finished with a good not great class. Were it not for a kid from ohio this year, he would have completely whiffed on the entire midwest as far as top shelf OL go. That's troublesome coming off a 12-0 season.

doesn't realize that Kelly runs a spread.

Yep, sure had some linemen at UF that proved to be embarrassing. Heck, take those Pouncey fellas. Should've played golf or field hockey.
JonCJG wrote: Good lineman prospects dont want to play in the spread; this will be osu's achilles heel going forward. Unless they get commits from elite lineman in state, urban will continue to swing and miss at this position.

Re: Dan Skipper to Arky

Back to back years of average OL recruiting for Meyer.  Does osu even have any OL recruits left on their board this recruiting cycle?  Taking only two seems like a mistake, but it doesn't seem Urban has a choice in the matter.

Compare that to all the studs coming up north to play for hoke.  It couldn't be that he's the better coach, that's just not possible.  Michigan is coming off an 8-5 year while OSU went undefeated so it couldn't be that we are the program with more momentum.

So why is it that OL (7 all american participants in the past 2 classes alone, in addition to others with big time offers) want to play at Michigan as opposed to OSU?  Hmmmmm, wonder what could it be.......

Re: Dan Skipper to Arky

Well since maybe the lineman committed scum committed early and never had a relationship built like Jabba had. Relationships are huge in recruiting. Skipper was committed to Tenneessee and his O line coach then went to Arkansas. Why did he commit there because of the relationship. Why is it Jabba cannot get a playmaker at WR? However I cannot wait to watch the Dline Meyer has assembled walk all over your All American lineman. Do you remember Adolphus because I know Taylor sure does.

I'd rather just have the better coach and better team. You get to brag about OL commits, that have never done anything in college, on a message board.

I guess you win.
