RE: Henry Poggi not going to Michigan?
Fickell was on that OSU defensive staff that held UofM to 98 total yards, and beat you in Ann Arbor 14-3. It was an embarrassing ass kicking, holding you to less than 100 yards for four quarters. Co DC. 98 yards for a game on your own home field, embarrassing. Fickell's LB's like Hawk and gang owned your sorry asses, and his defense shut you out in the second half this year and held you to six yards in the 4th quarter. PS, that was Mattison's defense at Florida that got tore up you clown. Still, the same plodding UofM rosters that Carr had, and again, not one elite WR, CB and typical slow footed Big Ten LB's. nailman83 wrote: Co DC actually. Nothing, but lose. Meyer is bringing in better talent than Tressel, as far as quick twitch, fast and explosive, SEC like. Nothing about Michigan football under Hoke should scare you, he is a barely above .500 coach, and they are reverting back to a slow plodding I style Carr style of roster and football that lost about 3 games a year, quicker OSU teams owned, and teams with speed like Oregon, USC in a few bowls and others OOC beat them like a drum.

At this point, the SEC would probably get two 1 loss teams into a 4 team playoff before the Big 10 gets one. How would you feel if OSU had 1 loss and were left out of the playoffs because Georgia and Arkansas had 1 loss teams who got in instead?
RipAndRattle wrote: Bullshit. Look at Boise.
Im so freaking tired of this argument. Its entirely bullshit, when you have a media rockband coach like Urban that crap wont matter. Go undefeated and everything falls into place
Besides, look at OSU's OOC scheduling in the future, big wins there and B1G titles will be enough.
Maker84 wrote:
RipAndRattle wrote: Why in the damn hell should Ohio State fans care about how the rest of the conference does vs the SEC? You should only care about what OSU does. because if Ohio State plays in a bad conference then it could hypothetically kill them at the end of a season if there were multiple unbeaten teams. The media would drill OSU because they play in a weak conference and the 4th best team in the SEC would go undefeated in the weak 10, yada yada yada RIP, I really wonder why on the one hand you constantly praise the sec and the depth it has, but you don't want the same thing in the B1G. I'm really confused. So you want a weak B1G conference and you feel a 1-loss OSU team doesn't go......which means IF you want the Buckeyes to play for the title each year they need to stay undefeated. What are you expecting???????? a 40 game win streak? Maybe something on the same level as a Wooden led UCLA team? I'm not sure you know how difficult going undefeated is. Not me. I want a stronger conference to where we get in even with a loss, without much debate.

I don't want Ohio State to play in an irrelevant conference. I want all Big Ten teams to recruit as well as possible.
Besides, the stronger the conference the easier it is to land elite recruits.

I think it is him because I had heard absolutely nothing about Poggi looking around until today and the tweet goes back to 2 weeks ago. Not sure who would make a fake twitter profile of a recruits dad randomly either. The guy is also followed by members of the Poggi family and the twitter account for the high school team his son plays for him...I think it's the real deal.

Re: Henry Poggi not going to Michigan?
We hear Poggi is waiting for a spot at bama, right now. bama is hoping to close with Foster,Kamara,Robinson,Liner,Eddie something, and connor. Now we are also hearing that Adams, Tonsil, jarren Reed and Poggi want in. All hell has broken lose and we don't have enough spots in our class unless Poggi and two other greyshirt. Altee tenpenny could go to arkie and open a spot. Numbers are tight. Maybe sabans greatest class ever.

Re: Henry Poggi not going to Michigan?
What you mean is, Saban has his toughest act yet to cut down a roster to add 2013 commits. You can only convince so many kids to leave, gray shirt, take a medical redshirt when not needed and tell a few others no room at the inn. Take some deer antler banned substance spray, inhale and relax. I am sure Auburn, Georgia and Ole Miss will take the left overs, maybe TAMU as well, with 32 plus commits and climbing, they caught onto the oversigning real quick. Yeah, that's the loophole to oversigning. See what you got and discard the verbal offers you don't need to come under the number.
I don't think there are any NCAA or conference rules on not honoring a verbal pledge either by the player or by the school
