My hunch is it was a courtesy visit, since Meyer visited his State Championship game. he decided to hold off his announcement after that, but released a statement before the visit saying "Saban is going to be coaching me". He now says Ohio State made a strong offer, and that he'll wait till around signing day to announce.

Re: Vonn Bell - ESPN Insider....
Bell has always leaned towards Alabama. His statements for 2 years shows his respect and admiration for Saban and what he has accomplished. Saban also works with the DB's as his position focus. Meyers got his shot and thats what he wanted all along. I don't like our chances, but at least we have a chance. Go Bucks!

Re: Vonn Bell - ESPN Insider....
Is Meyer planning to meet with Bell any more? Is that even permissible?

If he really does know where he is going to go..i hope that he lets the schools that are recruiting him know befor signing day.lots of time and money put into these kids, the very least they can do is stop the drama and let everyone move on.

Well it snowed three inches down in Tuscaloosa. Wondering what his brother's tweets are all about?

What planet do you live on? People here on Earth love drama! Why do you think there are so many cable channels? snowbuck wrote: If he really does know where he is going to go..i hope that he lets the schools that are recruiting him know befor signing day.lots of time and money put into these kids, the very least they can do is stop the drama and let everyone move on.

One thing of note, that Bell did NOT mention.... nor did the article.... Alabama's depth chart v.s. Ohio States.... I'd venture to say that Alabama's depth chart for safeties, looks far less appealing, than Ohio States... Saban, of course didn't bring that up.

Bell will immediately be in the two-deep once (if) he signs on the dotted-line and will be in the driver's seat to start his Soph year going forward. The depth chart is ripe for his taking.

You can still maintain drama pubicly, but privately let coaches know where you stand. I think that is the honorable thing to do, since it is impossible to "juggle options" if you don't know whee anyone is going. Imagine the chaos if no one committed until NLOID. NLOID commitments strike me as a little selfish.
