Last 6-7 to Commit?
The more I read, the more I feel confident about our recruiting class to close out the year. We do have the best closer in the game after all..
I say we finish with
Johnson Mitchell Quick Gibson Bell And I think we eventually flip Dontre Wilson (this kid and Quick would be dynamite in Meyer's O)
Who's your last 6-7?

Who's your last 6-7? I think Trey Johnson, Mike Mitchell, Christopher Worley and Shelton Gibson (assuming he gets his grades) are IN right now. I think we have a very good shot at Quick. I think he wants to be a Buckeye but has a strong pull from friends and family to stay home. Bell will be tough. It was great to get a visit but we're going to need to absolutely blow him away. Battle with Bama til the end. I think if Chip Kelly bolts to the NFL we get Wilson. We were his next pick and (whether he will say it publicly or not) there have been talks with OSU coaches and he still likes OSU. If we want Corn Elder I think we get him. We'll take him if one of Gibson or Quick don't commit. I would LOVE to get Dan Skipper. He is a OT committed to Tennessee and is 6'10" and looks skinny, weighing around 300 lbs! Can easily put on 30 more lbs of good weight. So I guess my final 6-7: Want: Mitchell, Johnson, Worley, Bell, Quick, Gibson (and Skipper) Think: Mitchell, Johnson, Worley, Elder, Gibson

Want Gibson I think he would be dynamite in our system. Just not feeling we get quick but would love to have him. I think we end up with Mitchell and Johnson and Worley. I think we will get an OL with the scholly from quick

Don't see us taking 6-7 more. Perhaps 4. Mitchell and Worley would be the ones I'm confident about.

RE: Last 6-7 to Commit?
Mitchell will be a Buckeye Johnson will be a Buckeye Worley will be a Buckeye, but grades could be a factor Gibson will be a Buckeye if he qualifies Bell visits Jan 11th and I wouldn't bet against Urban. Also there was a reason OSU wanted Tommy Sanders to wait. Quick just a hunch and really hoping so
I think the top 4 are locks as long as Gibson and Worley qualify. I also think we try to land a OT (Skipper), if the numbers allow it

RE: Last 6-7 to Commit?
Mr. Tennessee football Corn Elder is visiting 1/11 on official visit, and has an OSU offer. Every site out there reports he is an OSU lean. Dynamic athlete on both sides of the ball, and great return man as well. Elder becoming a Buckeye is for real as well. Main guy on another site that seen him multiple times thru his play off run compared him to LaMichael James. go22bucks wrote: Mitchell will be a Buckeye Johnson will be a Buckeye Worley will be a Buckeye, but grades could be a factor Gibson will be a Buckeye if he qualifies Bell visits Jan 11th and I wouldn't bet against Urban. So you are just too dumb to realize that could cause this kid to jump ship. Thanks for confirming!

If Quick stays home or Gibson doesn't qualify we take Elder. But don't sleep on him, he is a GREAT plan B and would be a plan A if scholarships allowed.

Re: Last 6-7 to Commit?
I think Johnson, Mitchell, Gibson (if he qualifies) are locks. Worley from Glenville is also probably in. I have a feeling Von Bell makes it in this class too.
If Quick stays at Louisville, I expect Corn Elder to come here.
I expect 1 OL to be added as well. That would finish this class up.

Re: Last 6-7 to Commit?
I would also like to add that Oregon commit Dontre Wilson, the explosive slot-back from Texas, is potentially looking around and OSU is high on his list (we were in his top 3 when he committed). Combined that with the fact that Herman has visited him in Texas multiple times since the season ended and Oregon could be hit hard with NCAA sanctions, we have a fairly goof chance to flip him.

Re: Last 6-7 to Commit?
The WR from Frankfort,KY-Ryan Timmons- might be one to keep an eye on-he is taking his recruiting very slow and has a Jan. visit scheduled.

Re: Last 6-7 to Commit?
Timmons will NOT be a Buckeye. Period. End of discussion. They have WAY too many guys ahead of him at this point. Personally, I would love to finish with - Mike Mitchell
- Trey Johnson
- Chris Worley
- Shelton Gibson
- Vonn Bell
- James Quick
- Dan Skipper
- Dontre Wilson
But I think more realistic is Mitchell, Johnson, Worley, Gibson, & Quick.
