Now he needs to hope Saban does not leave.  Rumor is that Saban is going to be the Browns next HC.

This site has the most bitter, sarcastic, smug sore-heads in the entire rivals system. Heaven help us if Bell chooses Bama; I can't imagine the comments that will follow. Thanks to those few who wished the kid well even though he chose another school.

I have no clue what Foster's future holds. But in fairness, OSU fans have been discussing his "issues" all throughout this process. Even when it looked like we might have a chance.

People would be disappointed if Bell chose 'Bama, but I doubt you'd see comments like the one in this thread.

RE: WR Robert Foster of Pa. commits to the ......

Bitter?  Foster never got an invite for an official visit.  No official visit, no offer or no hope of committing.  Foster kept mentioning he was going to visit Bama, OSU and Pitt, and the OSU extension of the official visit never came.
Foster came during the late spring period for a few days, and made some negative remarks about schools admin people showing him around on his tour, and his attitude towards the academic portion of the visit got him to Meyer's office.
Foster got invited to leave campus early and cut his trip real short.
So bitter, sorry, his chance got yanked with his bad trip a few months ago that offended several school admin people and the head coach, and his official visit never occurred either.
Foster also may have to go the JUCO/Prep route, because his academics is a trainwreck, that is something Alabama does not worry about.
Kids like Quick, Gibson, Corn Elder and Stevens visiting from FSU made passing on him a reality.
Smug sore heads, most people knew about his disparaging remarks towards OSU people during his tour (was in reference to older people, around part of his OSU support group trip), and his crap attitude during the same event, both of which got him sent home early.  It was reported he gave absolutely no value to his academic portion of the trip as well.  Both got him sent home early.
Good luck with him.

Agree with you 100%, yet the RipAndRattle's of the world are still rooting for Alabama to beat Notre Dame on January 7th.  eek1

Let's see-if Bama beats ND how many undefeated teams will be left in college football, oh, yeah, that's right, 1-The Ohio State University Buckeyes-I don't want to share w/ the Domers...........
In the end, the only thing 99% of the College Football fans will remember is who played in the NC Game, and who was holding up the Crystal Football at the end of the game.

The rest of his post is correct too. I'll be mildly surprised if he's playing anywhere next year.

The Big Ten just needs to do a better job keeping elite northern players. Until they do the conference will continue to be an embarassment.

I only worry about OSU. If your team is an embarrassment, so be it.

I like watching exciting teams and exciting players play exciting games. It is going to be boring as hell watching Urban Meyer's OSU teams blow out Purdue, Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota, etc and all the other horrible Big Ten teams.

Football is supposed to be fun and the better players the Big ten has the more fun the league is.

And a weak Big Ten doesn't do a good job preparing OSU for bowl season

Foster is an elite talent, but that does not come without a price. He has never taken academics seriously because of adults who just give him a pass. He clearly showed disrespect for others on and off the field. I give Meyer's a lot of credit for holding firm to showing skills in life as well as football.

Saban would be doing Foster a service if he made him step up and act the part of a student athlete.

Don't care where he's decided to play - he's not coming to OSU, so let's move on and focus on those prospects that still have a decision to make.  It would have been great to have his athletic talent here, but if he was bringing a bad "tude" with him, Coach Meyer would have been very swift in his dealing with it.  Meyer's dog house is NOT where any recruit wants to spend time .....

But the SEC is exciting watching teams drill Auburn, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mizzou, Kentucky, Arkansas, etc? A yea, ok.

I thought tht Quick and Gibson were our WR targets anyways with Gibson being the most likely. Good luck to Foster at bama, our coaches seemed to back way off in the summer after his visit. .

Go to the Pitt board and gloat.
Foster never was invited for an OSU official weekend after they sent him home packing early from a summer visit.
You beat Pitt here, congrats.
And like quite a few mentioned, if you know anything about his academics or lack thereof, he may never see the field at all.   Trainwreck.
