This offer reeks of desperation; Ohio st is hurting for OL help and this latest offer proves it.
There weren't very many Zook recruits on UF's 2008 squad -- you know, the squad with which Meyer won his second national title. Keep flinging though, eventually something will stick to the wall.

Re: New Offer - Dan Skipper OT

So you are saying Urban is a great coach as he was able to take other coaches recruits  and mold the team around it strengths and he developed champions. Which mean players that he recruits are going to be an even better champions. Great observation biggrin

Re: New Offer - Dan Skipper OT

1. You are wrong - and if you actually had any clue on how to argue any kind of a point, you would've gone back and checked up on your facts before making your assertion (need one shining example? Hello? Tebow? The prototypical Urban Meyer recruit?). Meyer was one of the fastest coaches to 100 wins EVER for a reason, and it had nothing to do with Zook, who was at UF for a whopping 3 (underwhelming) seasons.

2. Speaking of recruiting (and Meyer's classes except for 2009 were all top-10 ranked) recruiting only gets you so far. You still have to coach those recruits... and win! Meyer has done that.

3. The Buckeyes took five O-Linemen last year, have everyone from this season except for Fragel (a converted TE!) returning as seniors and also have two more as of right now coming in this year's class. We'll be fine.

4. Coming over to another team's forum to troll on silly arguments just shows how pathetically attention-deprived pathetic you are. Go ask mommy to bake you some cookies, kid.

Re: New Offer - Dan Skipper OT

Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that that Reed has left the program opening a scholly up for us. I think we know who we are getting and couldn't over offer our limit and we now offer an OT we didn't previously have room for. I like going after the LBs first but now that we have room trying to get a OL.

If you had a dollar for every kid Webb reporting, in his delusional spins was leaning towards UofM and went elsewhere, you could have a second home on the Florida coast line.
