RE: Eli Woodard Senior highlights

I'm not conceding that you're right.

Coming into this past season, neither Hyde nor Hall, were anywhere near what I would consider to be meeting the standards for Ohio State RBs. This is a school that has seen the likes of Eddie, Byars, Maurice, Beanie (or Pittman for that matter... b/c whether or not you care to agree, he was still a solid RB), and many others.

Hyde turns out to be one hell of a back in Meyers offense. But you couldn't say that based on his early performances as the featured back this season. He turned the corner later in the season when there was no real alternative (and no, Smith and Dunn at that point weren't ready to shoulder the load like Hyde ended up doing).

Antonio Pittman was coming off of a 1,300+ Rushing Yard season, including 136 Yards vs. ND in our Bowl, when Beanie got here.

Had Pittman stayed for his senior season, he would have been top5 all time in Rushing Yards at OSU.

His starting over Beanie had nothing to do with politics.

This kid is the complete package at CB-great hips, reads the ball well, tackles well, and never gives up on a play.

There's a certain kind of reassuring white rock....and some people do well with that.....

Should probably be noted that by the time he gets to Columbus, his name will be Eli Apple... don't know if it warrants changing the title of this thread to reflect that, but just an FYI.
