I'm not conceding that you're right.
Coming into this past season, neither Hyde nor Hall, were anywhere near what I would consider to be meeting the standards for Ohio State RBs. This is a school that has seen the likes of Eddie, Byars, Maurice, Beanie (or Pittman for that matter... b/c whether or not you care to agree, he was still a solid RB), and many others.
Hyde turns out to be one hell of a back in Meyers offense. But you couldn't say that based on his early performances as the featured back this season. He turned the corner later in the season when there was no real alternative (and no, Smith and Dunn at that point weren't ready to shoulder the load like Hyde ended up doing).
