How soon before Mitchell pulls the trigger on the Bucks

The visit was rumored to have went very well, and Mitchell described it as "crazy" and "awesome".

He'll be a Buckeye by Christmas, you could see Johnson pull out of the blue as well cool

Scout downgraded his interest from high to medium.

I'd be concerned except that all of the school show that he has medium interest. Doesn't mean he will sign or not sign with the Bucks, but it isn't necessarily indicative of anything.

ESPN still has us "in the driver's seat" for Mitchell--- in their most recent top 10 recruiting battles.  Whether that is better than "medium interest" I don't know.

He's likely going to sign with OSU but he'll have several coaches working him quite seriously in the coming weeks.  I'm sure Florida would love to take shot although we're pretty well done now!

It always makes me nervous when all the insiders say a recruit is a lock or a done deal. frown

Especially in the Tressel years.

not soon enough....not soon enough.

I want Mitchell, Johnson, and Sanders all committed before Christmas, with a little Ryan Timmons thrown in for good measure.

Never argue with an idiot, people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

From what I understand, Timmons doesn't have an offer, but if we offer he commits on the spot. I would expect Corn Elder in this class before Timmons.

Seems Mitchell is one the staff would give until the very end to decide.  IMO the current activity with Sanders may indicate Johnson may need to decide soon (or make his intentions completely clear to staff even if he doesn't go public) - I'm not saying we wouldn't love to have both Sanders and Johnson, but numbers for this class are very tight and we'd like to still wedge in a couple of WRs and even Bell if wanted in.

Give him a break.   He is the most civil Florida poster I can ever recall visiting our board.   As far as I am concerned, he is welcome here.

Re: How soon before Mitchell pulls the trigger on the Bucks

NO news is good news! As long as Mitchell is not scheduling official visits at some other school then we don't care. When a top recruit and the Coach start to get serious about a commitment then part of the discussion is how would the player llike to do it, and when.

It just seems that this Staff and Mitchell have spent a lot of effort towards becomming a Buckeye. It just seems like a good fit. Opportunity, education, connections, family. Columbus is a great city.

Has Mitchell already let the staff know his intentions.

Re: How soon before Mitchell pulls the trigger on the Bucks

Well this team needs some more playmakers to go with Marshal and Elliot and the others and Timmons is a do it all type KR, PR, WR, RB playmaker that this team could use.
But I would take Elder too biggrin  how about BOTH AND QUICK!!!! To go with Mitchell, Johnson, Sanders, and Dawson and Lacy...OSU sneaks in and takes ALL OF THEM AND MAKES ROOM SOME HOW!!!

I don't have that post.   If he comes here and says that sort of thing, he deserves to get tagged.   All the posts I have seen, while some include back-handed compliments as you've noticed, are at least civil.   If he flames, have at him.
