Just curious. How many times do we go head-to-head with Bama vs ND? IMO Bama winning wouldn't change things much while ND winning would give them a head of steam. Go Bama!

Not really considering even Nevada hasn't even said where Quick ends up.

Or he could follow several others on Twitter who have just as much insight. Of course, according to the sheep on this site, others are just stealing the info only Nevada is privy to. LMAO.

Therevwill be many future head to head battles with Alabama and other powers from the sec.
With Urban at the helm, we will be given a serious consideration where in past
--------we didn't get considered. Most of top talent has always stayed south.

Seriously, I've heard this argument before, but I don't really see ND doing any more damage to our recruiting than they already do (and the Catholic pipeline has been giving them great recruits from Ohio for as far back as anyone can remember).

That being said, I also don't honestly think the Irish win that game in the first place.

Agree, problem is our competition is Alabama and Nick Saben. I'm not much of a Notre Dame fan, but, would like to see Bama beaten and take some of the hype away when Saban has his in home visit on the 14 th. I agree Urban is at the top of all the best coaches, and there will come a time when closing out these classes will be old hat at TOSU. Hope it starts with this class. Bell, Mitchell, Quick,Johnson and a few other big names. Hoping the New Year gets started off with some verbal commits at these All Star games. Finish this 2013 with a bang..

And yet he always brought in one of the top classes in the country every damn year. Who cares when you get blue chip players to commit, as long as they do.......and they DID!

RE: vonn bell

Hey NutJob... did you watch the game last night? Did you see why the Cardinals are more than likely to win this race?

Bridgewater is a passing QB on a team that barely even tries to run the ball... and they just knocked off an SEC team in front of a national audience.

Still waiting to say you told me so?

...and by the way, I've been watching college football and the recruiting process a LOT longer than there have been such things as internet forums... let alone 'Premium' membership boards. Nice try at attempting to validate yourself though. wink

ryecatcher773 wrote: Yes -- the fact that you can't make teh distinction between 'gut feeling' a 'hunch' and 'logic' is all the proof I need to say that you are delusional.

Hunches and gut feelings are not based in logic. Logical conclusions are based in a set of given information that is necessarily (that being the key word) true. Look up the definition if you are still confused.

There is no LOGICAL reason for any athlete to make any choice of school. This isn't science, it's an 18 year old kid choosing where he wants to play football. Kids choose based on what works best for them, not what makes 'logical' sense... (in fact, I don't recall ever knowing too many 'logical' 18 year olds 20+ yeasr ago when I was still in high school) .

There are far too many factors that are in the abstract column (abstract reasoning, BTW in case you are following along, is not necessarily based in logic)

Bottom line, until they sign a letter of intent, they aren't a lock (see Alex 'I can't make up my mind' Anzalone as a recent example). Regardless of whether you agree with me,  we'll talk about this again on National Signing Day.

Happy New Year.

WeAreNuts wrote: Delusional huh? Mitchell and Johnson are locks. Latest news is trending that Bell is favoring OSU. Quick is a gut feeling hunch based on logic. His father was caught wearing OSU gear in Louisville recently. He wants to hangout with the OSU recruits while he's spending his time at the Army All American Bowl. Literally more logical in every aspect to choose OSU rather than Louisville. More national exposure for himself, gets to play in an offense that fits his abilities perfectly, opportunity to win a national title, wide range of acedemic programs, gets to play for one of the best coaches in the country, it's close to home, also he sent out a tweet two days ago that said he's "laying low" when he got back to Louisville. Why would he do that if he was choosing the cardinals? All this on top of Mike Farrell's latest report yesterday that Quick has a new leader. So delusional? Not quite tongue

We get two of them at most. Mitchell being the most likely.

Hey Beast... I actually defended you the other day when someone called you a troll (and I also premised my defense by saying that I rarely agree with what you have to say). I certainly don't care if you agree with my opinions, but I'd appreciate your respecting the fact that I bleed Scarlet & Gray and have for as far back as I can recall watching football.

...and if you learned how to read, I never said anything anywhere about where Quick should go, and the conversation I had wasn't aimed at you in the first place (perhaps you missed that part too... unless you have multiple screen names as you often accuse others of having). No wonder your buddy from Florida (the one you announce to the forum that you have on 'ignore') hacks on you so much.

To answer your question, I graduated from Brush High School in Lyndhurst back in 1990. You do the math, Archimedes.

You dont have to agree with me. I was just commenting on how your post responding to wernuts seemed very pro-lville, as if Quick to Lville was a foregone conclusion despite quick not even committing yet. I have no problems with your posts, just that one in particular seemed out of place.

With Trey Johnson now a Buckeye, Quick deciding tomorrow, Mitchell deciding. If we get 1 of those two, Bell has gotta want to join them. What a D this is going to be. Take notice Vonn

If Bell commits to OSU that will give the Buckeyes two of the top 10 players in Georgia... given how well we sit with McMillan next year already... Mark Richt is going to be cursing Urban Meyer yet again...
"Meyer is not a 'guy in a wizard hat selling snake oil', nor is he the only coach in America that recruits down to the wire - he is just the best at it."

I could see this being out of context, but here is a Bell quote: “Alabama … it just speaks for itself,” Bell said. They are in the national championship again. Coach Nick Saban, he’s a DB coach, and he’s going to be coaching me. So Coach Saban has got guys into the NFL, so his name speaks for himself.”
