Strong staying who is delusional now! kybuckI wrote: All I said is it is not delusional to imagine he stays! Strong has repeatedly said he feels like Louisville gave him a shot when no one else would. I think its 50 - 50 not delusional at all to imagine him staying tOSUBuckeye wrote: louis42 wrote: Think the ACC move helps quite a bit with Strong staying as well as Quick.
I've said it many times before on here if Strong is here next year Quick will more than likely go to Louisville if not I think you all get him. You are completely delusional if you think Louisville moving to the ACC will keep Strong from leaving. It's never going to be a top job. Great coaches will always seek the best jobs. Lousiville will never have the built in advantages of the top jobs that will keep a great coach long term. "Matching any offer he gets?" Yeah sounds like a marquee program to me. I am sure Strong has always dreamed of coaching in front of 48,000 fans while utilizing sub-par facilities and harvesting the fertile recruiting grounds of Kentucky. In the short term he could definitely stay but there is absolutely no way he stays there over the long term if he continues to be successful.

Re: James Quick
Looking more and more like the recruitment of Quick is playing out like Stefon Diggs. Comes down to a final 2 of OSU and the mid-level home town program. In the end the smell of home cooking is just to strong. Just wish it didn't have to be another elite WR.

Re: James Quick
We'll get Gibson, and he's hardly a slouch... and until we have an 'elite' passing QB (I love Braxton, but let's not kid ourselves) does it really matter how many 'elite' WRs we have? Just because we're in the era of the spread, and Meyer runs a different offense than Tress, have you forgotten this is RB 'U' we're talking about? This is false. Quick and strong have a close friendship. Quick is going to Louisville because of this relationship and it has nothing to do with wins. Forget Quick. He's loyal to his friend.

Re: James Quick
Quick has a tuff decision. He has been leaning to stay home during his entire recruitment. Meyer's has done a great job of selling Ohio State and how Quick is a big key to building a Championship team. In the end I think home is to "Strong" for Quick to leave.

Re: James Quick
no Gibson is no slouch...but his grades are still a major issue. I don't think anyone can count on him at this point to be in this class. Sounding more like a Fork Union situation...which means osu will need to nab 2 WRs (timmons and elder) ryecatcher773 wrote: We'll get Gibson, and he's hardly a slouch... and until we have an 'elite' passing QB (I love Braxton, but let's not kid ourselves) does it really matter how many 'elite' WRs we have? Quick will get an extra star because of his height, but really, spread offenses prefer shiftier recievers.

Re: James Quick
couple of points..
1)Gibson isn't better than Quick ...as good maybe but not better. 2) nothing is certain until the LOI is been faxed. Don't count out tOSU and Meyer!
Maybe tomorrow, when today will be yesterday things will be clearer.
GO BUCKS !!

Gibsons a hell of a player and will be amazing in this offense but Quick is as shifty/quick/agile as any true receiver I've seen in a long time. Kid is a receiver first and athlete second, not the other way around like so many kids. Quick SHOULD have a 5th star on every recruiting service.

Quick is the big time WR that Urban has coveted since become HC here...gibson is good...but I like quick and timmons better

Re: James Quick
My gut feeling has always been Quick to Louisville, Gibson to WVU (Grades issue), Mitchell to A&M and Green to VT and it's starting to look like it's going to be the outcome.
There's a reason JC recruits are visiting -- Plan B

Do I have to remind you of Florida 06?
