Wait, so Strong staying at Louisville means we can no longer recruit Quick?
Some experts thought Quick was trending towards the Buckeyes before the Michigan game.
Then there were some rumors about Quick thinking about committing during the game.
Still think we have a good chance, even if Strong stays.
And strong might still leave. No one heard of BB going to Arkansas until it pretty much happened. Let's just wait and see what happens.

when I thought Strong was leaving (and he probably will still leave for a better job in 1 year), I thought Quick was an OSU lock.
Now that Strong is staying at least for another year before leaving, i'd put the chances OSU will get Quick at 40%. Remember that Quick was still blown away on the OSU visit, so Ohio State still has a chance.

Quick's status has never changed one bit since day one. As long as Strong is at Louisville, that's where he will be. If Strong takes the UT job, then OSU has a real chance.

Don't think Strong staying will change much, Quick knows Strong wouldn't be his Coach for all 3/4 years.

Dont forget potential openings in Oregon, Stanford, and/or other colleges after the NFL season is over also. There are some NFL teams that are high on current NCAA coaches. The coaching carosel has just begun. |

I'm not putting as much stock into those Bama visits as some. In my opinion yes. I honestly believe that Bell 'visiting' Alabama for those game was more of him just going to the game instead of visiting to be recruited. That is a much shorter commute for him than OSU is, especially when his high school team has playoff games. People also tend to forget that Bell spent two long weekends at OSU in the summer, one of which he brought along his mom for. The couple of things I look at that some might not put as much stock into are these: consistently, when either Bell or his coach has mentioned his favorites OSU has been the first name said; and the fact that the top 2 were OSU and Tenn and now OSU and Bama. The common factor is OSU. Makes me like our odds. Anyways, enough about Bell. Back to Quick. Looks like Strong is negotiating with Tennessee. You know they'll give him whatever he wants. Quick to OSU? |

Tennessee can't afford to wiff on Strong too---- they will pay him more than Louisville can.
