I've said it many times before on here if Strong is here next year Quick will more than likely go to Louisville if not I think you all get him. You are completely delusional if you think Louisville moving to the ACC will keep Strong from leaving. It's never going to be a top job. Great coaches will always seek the best jobs. Lousiville will never have the built in advantages of the top jobs that will keep a great coach long term.

Re: James Quick
Louisville has a heisman candidate coming back & they are a lock to win Big East next year and go to back to back BCS games then they jump to ACC Jurich has said he will match any offer Strong gets financially Strong has repeatedly said he feels like Louisville gave him a shot when no one else would. I think its 50 - 50 not delusional at all to imagine him staying tOSUBuckeye wrote: louis42 wrote: Think the ACC move helps quite a bit with Strong staying as well as Quick.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/...649--ncaaf.html What do you expect him to say? He's trying to be respectful to his current players. Urban Meyer also was denying that he was coming to tOSU.

I am sure Strong has always dreamed of coaching in front of 48,000 fans while utilizing sub-par facilities and harvesting the fertile recruiting grounds of Kentucky. In the short term he could definitely stay but there is absolutely no way he stays there over the long term if he continues to be successful.

Re: James Quick
FWIW, ESPN lists the battle for Quick as one of their most recent top 10 bluechip recruiting battles--- and names Ohio St as being in the driver's seat.

Re: James Quick
YES...what do you expect him to say ? When's the last time you heard a coach who's name is included in an opening at a larger school say...'Yes, I'm interested in this job and will be leaving if offered' ? LOL ! I've never heard it... B uckeyes5 wrote: ForeignBockeye wrote:

Re: James Quick
If he has interviewed at 2 SEC schools this week that does not look good for UofL regardless of where he stands with those schools. louis42 wrote: kybuckI wrote: Rumor Strong interviewed at Tennessee today as well - Looks like he could be gone! Not #1 Candidate right now

Re: James Quick
the writing is on the wall. Charlie Strong will be gone from L'ville. 95% chance he leaves this year, but if not, he will definitely be gone next year. Only those delusional L'ville fans that refuse to believe the truth will say he is staying. I will be the first one to say Welcome to the Buckeye family James Quick!!!! You are exactly what Urban Meyer wants in a playmaker/WR in this offense!

RE: James Quick
I think Strong leaving for an SEC school is a foregone conclusion. That is no the issue. The issue is whether or not Urban can close after Charlie leaves? (:D)

RE: James Quick
Strong stays at Louisville = Quick is a Cardinal Strong leaves (seems like a sure thing from what I'm hearing) = Quick is probably a Buck
