We'll see about that. I dont know why quick would lie about who his favorite is at this point. Sucks that Louisville is still the favorite but if he goes there let him rot on a pathetic team like Stephon Diggs is currently doing Because he still has to live in Louisville for 2.5 more months before he actually makes his choice.

RE: James Quick
I don't think that would really have much to do with it. how many kids from Ohio commit to TSUN and continue to live in Ohio? Think about the Boren family living in the Columbus area... Dad grew up in Columbus and played for tSUN as did his son Justin before transferring to the Buckeyes. You think they cared about what the neighbors thought? That's two generations of the Boren family... who actually live in a football-crazed town and were (essentially)sleeping with the enemy. The Borens now go down in the annals of Ohio State as a sort of First Family of Buckeyes Football. The three brothers have removed any mark of Cain that their father might have been branded with (and thank the good Lord they did). Hell of a family those guys. Just my thoughts, but an Army AA game announcement does NOT bode well for Louisville. Now, JQ may pull an Alabama or Oregon hat out of the bag, but IMHO it's not going to be The Cards. These games are all about the bling. Announcing for OSU or Alabama is a real "look at me" moment in the spotlight. Louisville? Errr, not so much.

His father wanted to play for OSU but did not receive a scholarship offer from Earl Bruce. Micheal and Zack Boren have much in common and both played better than what was their perceived abilities. ryecatcher773 wrote: I don't think that would really have much to do with it. how many kids from Ohio commit to TSUN and continue to live in Ohio?

How's that Maryland thing working out for Stephen Riggs? the world is going to end if James Quick doesn't commit to OSU within the week!!!!! We shouldn't let him wait and make an informed decision on where he wants to spend the next 4 years of his life! Hurry, hurry, we can't wait until NLOID to let the process play out! If a recruit doesn't commit in 8th grade he just doesn't get it and will never be a true Buckeye! My God you make OSU fans look really bad. How about you jump off a bridge troll.

With Quick, I don't really want to be too hard on the guy, but if an 18-year old kid (er, man) who plays the game at a high level, has to dwell this long on whether to choose between playing football in Columbus or a basketball school, I'm not sure he's the kind of kid I want in the first place.
Nothing against a kid hesitant to leave home, but after the Ricquan Southward thing, I'd rather have someone who is confident in his decision and wants to play in a premiere program. If it was between tOSU and an SEC powerhouse, I could see the difficult decision... but Louisville is not a major program in football and Columbus is a mere 3-and-a-half hour drive away. We're not talking about a plane ride if he's homesick. My kid brother went to IU and managed to drive to Chicago every other weekend in his beat up Chevy Cavalier no sweat (and that's a longer drive). the world is going to end if James Quick doesn't commit to OSU within the week!!!!! If Strong doesn't leave this year he will leave the next year. Quick has to be thinking about that.

Re: James Quick
Think the ACC move helps quite a bit with Strong staying as well as Quick.
I've said it many times before on here if Strong is here next year Quick will more than likely go to Louisville if not I think you all get him.

RE: James Quick
Yeah, I think everyone agrees that Strong staying at Louisville or moving up to a big time SEC job is the decision that will make or break Quick's recruitment to Louisville/Ohio State.

Re: James Quick
You don't move on from a kid who has a skill set like Quick does. We need Vertical Playmakers. He'll announce for OSU, providing Strong Leaves. Believe his dad was a U of L athlete, not the easiest decision for an 18 year old to make. Give it time.

Re: James Quick
ESPiN is reporting Strong and Auburn talked. If true its good news for us: Wednesday, November 28, 2012 Report: Auburn, Charlie Strong talked ESPN.com news services
Auburn interviewed Louisville coach Charlie Strong this week to fill its head coach vacancy, according to a report by AL.com, though Strong later denied interviewing for the job. The interview with a representative of the Auburn search committee took place in the past two days, AL.com reported, citing someone familiar with the process. Strong denied the report, telling several reporters Wednesday that he has a job at Louisville. Auburn's search committe is composed of athletic director Jay Jacobs and former players Bo Jackson, Pat Sullivan and Mac Crawford. Former Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino is a candidate for the Auburn job, CBSSports.com reported Wednesday, citing a source. Strong, 52, has a 23-15 record at Louisville, which announced Wednesday morning it was leaving the Big East and joining the ACC. The Cardinals are 9-2 this season and can win a share of the Big East title with a win at Rutgers on Thursday. Auburn fired Gene Chizik on Sunday after a 3-9 season.

Re: James Quick
I will forward your post to the coaching staff that they should move on. I am sure that they will take it under advisement since it came from you.
BTW; why don't you ask Stefan Diggs how he is doing: as a freshman he started 6 games, led his team in pass receptions, punt returns and kickoff returns. (I will take a wild guess here, but I would assume he is having a great time and he has no regrets.)
