I hope he hasnt peaked so early. He could be a physical monster and potentially the next JJ Watt/JPP type of Defensive End

In a way I hope he has peaked in terms of size any bigger than 270 and he will move inside. RipAndRattle wrote: I hope he hasnt peaked so early. He could be a physical monster and potentially the next JJ Watt/JPP type of Defensive End

Bosa, Mitchell and Eli W will be huge and much needed additions to next years D. I suspect all 3 will be starting by mid-season if not sooner.

Re: Wow just watch some Bosa film, dude is a full grown man!!
I'm always amazed how people have true freshman pencilled in to take over where we already have established starters... At CB, Roby hasn't declared for the draft, and Armani Reeves was a big signing in the 2012 class, not to mention Doran Grant is still here next year as well. Our DB situation is not a problem, let alone a desperate need. Bosa may very well make the 2-deep as a Freshman, but again, we are well stocked on the DL (Washington, Spence, Schutt, Bennet, Miller, Pittman, Hale...) And lastly, Mitchell hasn't even committed anywhere yet. So why not wait and see who signs what on NLOI Day before we start projecting where they'll be by mid-season? Re: Wow just watch some Bosa film, dude is a full grown man!!
Mitchell is a self admitted strong lean due to the depth chart which is wide open next year.
Bosa and Eli are not your normal run of the mill recruits. I don't normally make those statements however these 3 guys have special written all over them. The corner spot opposite Roby is wide open as well.
If I'm wrong come back and bust my balls. I predict all 3 are starting by mid-year next season so mark it down.
By the way, who are the established starters you speak of? Last I checked Simon, Howard and Boren were the established starters?

You must not understand football very well. Bosa starting by mid season. Lets see we have Bennett, Hale, Schutt, Washington and Spence and Miller.Only 1 of those guys does he have a chance to come in and after 6 games take over their spot and thats Miller and thats still asking for a lot. As for the other 5 lol if he can come in and push 1 of those 5 to the sideline then he will be an All American as a Soph.

I absolutely think Bosa will be better at DE than everyone you listed as a frosh next year. I also believe Washington and Bennett will both slide down to DT in order to accomodate and Spence will man the other side. The rest will provide great depth but this is your best 4 IMO.

Re: Wow just watch some Bosa film, dude is a full grown man!!
You do realize that even after both Nate Williams and Mike Bennett had injuries they both started ahead of the FR that just came in this past season. Now i hope Bosa is as good as you are thinking he is but there is just such a huge difference in being able to dominate in HS and then stepping onto a big boy campus and statring after 6 games. Even more so when you are following guys who are really good and big and strong. There are schemes he has to learn and we have no clue if he knows how to drop back into a zone coverage. That takes time to understand and is something he will have to do in Lukes defense. I see him being Washingtons backup as the SSDE but thats just my 2 cents. I feel the DL without Hank will look like this, Washington,Bennett, Hale, Spence- Bosa, Schutt, Carter, Miller.

Re: Wow just watch some Bosa film, dude is a full grown man!!
What I like the most about the 3 mentioned aside from their freekish athletic ability is that they all have very high football IQ's and are extremely coachable by all accounts. To start as a true frosh at tOSU you have to have those intangibles beyond the athletic ability. I believe these 3 have IT. Time will tell. It's very rare that one true frosh starts on an OSU D let alone 3 but I feel its a distinct possibility next year.

Truk... I don't want to insult you, but how long have you been following recruiting? Before I list a few other 5-star can't-miss kids who didn't pan out, let's look at Rivals #2 overall recruit in the country for 2011 -- a LB named Curtis Grant. Now, before we discuss any differences in those two players you do relaize that the depth at the LB position this year was about as thin as I can ever recall on a Buckeyes team... yet the 5-star can't-miss kid from Richmond barely even made it on the field as a Sophomore? You think Boren, a FB for 4-years, starting at MLB in late-season games was ever even remotely in anyone's mind with a blue-chipper like Grant waiting in the wings? I hope Grant pans out (and I believe he will), but the whole point is that regardless of physical tools, Grant's slow development illustrates how the game has some sharp differences at each progressive level and CFB is not HS football. I'll say it again (and it isn't my intent to' bust your balls' as you put it) - DL is arguably the strongest position on this team. We'll take everyone we can, but that line is more than likely set before the Freshman make it to camp.
