Do we get any great recruits to flip?

Would love to get another 5 star from tsun or Wisky!
Is there anyone we're targeting?

If you want to get a 5* to flip from Wisky you are going to be waiting for a while. Last 5* they got was Oglesby in 07.

Of course when they get walkons like JJ Watt, stars don't matter.

I doubt D McMillian will flip. His mother was frozen and stated that she can't put with this cold weather.

According to Scout - he is not committed. When does he get on board?

As great a win as it was yesterday in a great environment, the sub-freezing temps certainly didn't help with the southern recruits in attendance.
It was much colder than expected....colder by far than any OSU game I've ever been to.

35 degress my ass. It felt like 10 degrees.
I wore 4 layers, hat and gloves and was protected from the wind in D-deck....and by the 2nd half I STILL starting shaking uncontrollably.
That was a shock to my system and I'm from Ohio.
Can't imagine what the recruits and families from the south must have been thinking.

You've got to sell them on this is what it's going to be like in the NFL, might as well get used to it now.

Haha, I thought it was just me. I was the same way, walked out of the car in a underarmour, long-sleeves, and sweatshirt. I was still cold. Needed another heavy zip up hoody. That was the coldest 32 degrees I've ever experienced. It definitely felt like in the teens.

Try going to a game in old Municipal Stadium. Coldest game I ever went to was in 1987 , Colts vs. Browns. Only game I ever sat at the 50-yard line in Cleveland, only to freeze my ass off in December on Lake Erie and watch the home team lose 9-7 (and Indy didn't even score a TD). There were 70,000+ other poor fools in attendance who will vouch for that chilly conditions that day.

I've read a lot of reactions from the kids from the south and none of them mentioned the cold being unbearable and dampering their visit. Most talked about how loud it was, how intense it was, etc.

Were we at different games?

It was cold. It wasn't that cold.

I had a long sleeve UA shirt on and a track jacket. That was it. Gloves and Hat. I was sitting in C-Deck and I was totally fine...

And this was after walking from Upper Arlington to the Medical Center to tailgate at 8 am.

I'm not someone that just "handles cold" - I don't like the cold either - I just didn't think it was that bad. It was cold - I've been to a million games that were worse.

Funny thing about that guy... he looked ridiculous wearing a polo on the sidelines. Not much tougher (or smarter) than the drunks who take their shirts off to get on camera at Soldier Field in January.

Reminded me of Coughlin when he an did'nt following everyone else's lead at Lambeau (fans, players, coaches, etc.) during the NFC Title game a few years ago (yes they won, but still wasn't smart... he still has windburn/frostbite scars on his cheekbones from that) but at least he had sense to wear a coat.

rolleyes  Coombs was wearing a polo shirt too, no sleeves, no coat.  Alot of coaches do this.  Not sure how wearing a coat would have helped Coughlin's face.

If you hate Hoke just say it.   No need to make up lame ass excuses to hate someone.   Just hate people you don't know, use that to call other people stupid and be done with it.

Re: Do we get any great recruits to flip?

There just aren't enough spots left.  According to some on the site Chris Worley will be a member of the class, most also assume Shelton Gibson is close to a sure thing in the class as well, so after those 2 scholarships that leaves what 3 more spots, possibly 4?

Considering the following are still being recruited:

S   Von Bell
LB  Mike Mitchell
WR James Quick
LB  Trey Johnson
WR Marquez North
OG  David Dawson

There just doesn't seem to be enough spots left for a surprise committed recruit to enter the picture.

Not sure who your last paragraph was aimed at, but you highlighted my post, so I will assume you directed it to me.   I don't hate Hoke.   I don't even know the fool.   And I certainly wouldn't hate him for his choice of attire.   But he purposely courts the scorn and ridicule of OSU fans (nothing wrong or unusual about that in an opposing coach), so it is surely my prerogative to highlight his sad attempt to appear to be a tough guy.

Cleveland's Municipal stadium for a Browns game was the reason God invented boilermakers  ( a shot & a beer )  even the flask would be so cold we had to hold it with gloves ontongue

Quit crying about the weather. If its such a big deal for you to be too cold, then don't come to the game.
