Want a Percy Harvin Comparison?
Its Marshon Lattimore, no guy we have recruited in the 2012/2013 class is really similar to Percy Harvin. They all have their own unique set of abilities and I personally think James Quick can be much more effective in Meyer's system than Harvin was. James' quickness, speed, change of direction is absolutely phenomenal and I don't think we see another kid like him for a few years. The kid can start from day 1 wherever he goes and would put up huge numbers in Meyers ofense. However, that being said, if you want a kid that resembles Percy out of high school, I think its hands down Marshon Lattimore. Have very nice speed, nice change of direction, very good hands, good vision and can take it the distance on special teams. I hope he becomes a Buckeye, seems like its gonna be an OSU/UM battle.

You're right. He did take a visit to Mich though but after reading a little about him you are right. Hope we can lock the Glenville kids up quick and have them help us out in recruiting a bit.

RE: Want a Percy Harvin Comparison?
we don't want a Percy Harvin. We want someone who is going to make his own mark and legacy, not be a poor man's version of a past player.
I think Quick and Jalin Marshall will be those players that transcend the game to the next level under Urban Meyer. Then 5-10 years down the road we will be speculating who will be the next Jalin Marshall or the next James Quick!!!
2014 recruiting wish list 1. Kyle Allen 2. Jamarco Jones 3. Raekwon McMillan

RE: Want a Percy Harvin Comparison?
Marshon himself said he prefers to play cornerback (great CB prospect as well) so we'll see what he does in college.

He'll be a WR in college. He's not ranked 2nd for no reason

--------------------------------------------- Not true. Marquise Lee was recruited as a safety if I recall.

1) Difference between going from S to WR 2) Lattimore is being recruited as a WR --------------------------------------------- --- bdub2105 wrote: ChrisSpeilman wrote: He'll be a WR in college. He's not ranked 2nd for no reason

--------------------------------------------- Not really. If Lattimore is really set on playing CB he absolutely can. And with his skill set he would probably do really, really well there.

Re: Want a Percy Harvin Comparison?
Playing Lattimore at S/CB is an absolute waste of his skills when the ball is in his hands.
Unless he has stone hands I would bet anything he plays on offense here.

Unless he has stone hands I would bet anything he plays on offense here. I have no problem with Lattimore playing CB or S. But I agree, if he doesn't also get the ball in his hands on offense and even ST, he will be wasting his talent. The kid just has that "it" factor, and has too much talent not to play on offense AND defense.

Unless he has stone hands I would bet anything he plays on offense here. This. People have been going as far as saying he's already ahead of Jalin Marshall in terms of his ability as an offensive player and may be the best athlete in Ohio since Ginn. That kid's going to play on the offensive side of the ball. I'm sure he has potential on both O & D, but barring some type of miracle, if he goes to OSU Meyer will find a way to persuade him to be a WR.

RE: Want a Percy Harvin Comparison?
Well he definitely doesnt have stone hands. He has some of the best hands Ive ever seen out of a High School wide receiver.

RE: Want a Percy Harvin Comparison?
Ok, so instead of Percy Harvin comparison, we make a Chris Gamble comparison, and let him do his thing on both sides of the ball.

RE: Want a Percy Harvin Comparison?
Harvin was ranked 1 overall by rivals, surprised me due to his smaller size, must have been electric in high school.

Re: Want a Percy Harvin Comparison?
Was told UM3 is looking at a OLSM Jr. player (5'11", 165#) for the Harvin role. Went & watched their playoff game Saturday & the kid showed nothing. One game doesn't tell a total story but I'm thinking there are bigger fish in the sea.
