urban starting to intimidate.......

saw this on the psu board,

"He has to be good with a name like that..(talking about snodgrass).pirate Im guessing O$U unless Urby doesn't want em". I wouldn't even go after the Meyer list, go South and save the drama"

he's suggesting that psu should not attempt head to head recruiting battles with urban,  gotta love the high and mighty psu fans conceding they cant compete with urban. thats gotta piss them off

It would have been hard for PSU to compete with Urb for big time Ohio recruits before the sanctions, now I dont think they will even try for recruits in Ohio except for ones with MAC offers

The only school PSU is going to compete for recruits is Ohio university.

That just highlights the depth of their sanctions.

Why would they try to compete against a school they couldn't beat at home on the field?

I think this probably has less to do with Urban and more to do with Ohio State's pull with Ohio recruits.  When is the last time Penn State ever beat us head to head for an Ohio kid we really wanted??

The Last Ohio Recruit that we had to battle PSU for that we wanted you have to go all the way back to Curtis Enis who Coop really wanted, and Before that KiJana Carter. Both of whom were Ohio boys, both of whom grew up in Columbus area i think.....I know one was from westerville.....otherwise my memory is a total loss.....

PSU will get more Ohio recruits than ever before. Meyer doesn't go after Ohio kids like JT did. We have more offers in Florida right now than any other state.

Tressel didn't have to. His last 3 classes were full of OOS'ers, some of our best players.

Pass over the lower ranked Ohio kids, for the flashier OOS kids, at your own peril. There are certainly exceptions.

Enis played at Mississinewa Valley, in Darke County.
