Urban seems very pleased with recruiting right now

Don't know if its coach speak or not but on his call in show he had a few cool quotes...

"Ohio state is hot right now. "

"Ill be out talking to only 2014 kids Tom. That's how far ahead we are right now "

I expect this class to end with a bang!

Hes confident with Dorian Johson, Mike Mitchell and James Quick I bet.

Going into the scUM game undefeated and to close off with a perfect season will put the final touches on a great class.

WOW !  What a way to complete this class with Bell, Johnson, Mitchell and Quick !  Throw in Gibson and it's a double WOW !!!  Urban's VERY wise in making DL & offensive skilled...speedy playmakers top priority in recruiting which is a key formula in winning NCs...

Look how Meyer closed at Florida.
Look how he closed at OSU last year with hiring a staff and little time.
Look at his elite track record in coaching, two BCS titles, 7-1 in bowls and like 123-23 record.

Meyer is a rock star, OSU is going to go 12-0 and open next year in the polls in the top 3 more than likely, and with a Heisman QB, a coach that is on par with Saban with status and cache, and the media will slobber all over OSU like they did with Carroll at SC, Meyer at Florida, Saban at Bama and Calipari at Kentucky.

Urban Meyer, Pete Carroll at SC, Calipari at Kentucky and Saban at Bama, very elite upper echelon recruiters and rock star type status coaches, sit back and enjoy the ride, we are barely out of the starters blocks.
No one in the Big Ten can match that, not even close.

Obviously, the Head Coach is the most important "recruiter".  However, it was a point from day 1, that all assistants must be an active and a top recruiter.  From my understanding that the previous staff had some great recruiters, but this wasn't as big of requirement for ever personnel.  This bye week comes at a pretty good time for recruiting.

Let's not get too cocky or ahead of ourselves....here...

One, we play in Wisconsinl.....
And, two, Michigan will be a serious test of our discipline on defense...

You worry about this version of Wisconsin with an even worse QB situation this week.
Love Tressel, he played field position and lets battle Wisconsin to a 14-10 win.
Meyer will spread their slow defense out just like Oregon did and attack, attack and go no huddle.
Wisconsin ain't seen an up tempo offense like OSU all year, just play like you did against MSU to stop the run, and game over.
Do not be surprised if Indiana beats Wisconsin this weekend.

it's still very difficult to go undefeated. Hell ask Notre Dame that. Pitt may have been the worst team on their schedule.

Ohio state has had what one undefeated season in 40 years? I hate how people just act like it's a given.

That would have been a fantastic point other than the fact Pitt didn't beat N.D.

Close game? A scare? Sure! But a wins a win and Notre Dame left that game still undefeated no matter if they won by 3 or 30

I never thot it was a given but I did think that it was a real possibility. That's why I predicted 12-0!
