Re: Colorado now with the recruiting advantage

True.

Although some laws are to protect some from others who lack morality.

However, when it comes to drinking, smoking, mary jane, sex, etc... as long as you don't hurt others who cares. If you do then you pay the consequences.

I hate smoking, but if you want to smoke outside / in designated smoking areas, etc... then so be it.

Most laws are broken. Is this sufficient reason to eliminate all law.

I don't really want to argue this law as those discussions always turn into a p###ing contest. But I couldn't let that logic pass, uncontested.

probably a violation if caught by the team, but less of a chance in getting caught now that the cops aren't charging for it

The federal system isn't set up to handle minor possession cases. It will be interesting seeing how DOJ deals with this.

Still a federal law.  Anyone can still be arrested and prosecuted in federal court.

Will that happen, who knows, but technically Federal law holds jurisdiction.

This is true.  Colorado is the worst team I have seen in years.  What the hell happened to that program?

Colorado's recruiting advantage is that virtually anyone they recruit could step in and start immediately on the mess of a team they have!!!!!!!

Eh, I don't agree. I was speeding omw to work this morning and didn't feel immoral at all. There have been soooo many laws that do not deal w/ morality or are immoral themselves. The gov't is not always right. "Most laws are broken. Is this sufficient reason to eliminate all law." this is a horribly vague argument.

You're confusing morality with correctness. Speed limits are indeed legislation of morality. Someone decided it was wrong to travel at speeds they consider dangerous. The fact that your morality disagrees with the morality of the lawmakers does nothing to redefine it.

Not a vague argument at all. Many people argue for the removal of laws on the basis that some people are not obeying them. THAT is a vague and specious argument. My pointing out its lack of merit was understood by most, I'd wager.
