2014 QBs
I see Caleb Henderson has us High on his list, yet he has no offer, he is rated #3, what up with that? We also have #4 Kyle Allen and #5 Drew Barker interested and no offers, I know Urban loves his running QBs but as well as we are playing Miller has us at the bottom of the NCAA when it comes to passing the ball.

2014 doesn't seem like a big year for QBs.

RE: 2014 QBs
It would be nice to get a good one in 2014... I LOVE that we got JT Barrett, but for some reason I just don't feel like he'll be a major contributor while at tOSU (I hope he heals up well and I'm 100% wrong though!!!).

RE: 2014 QBs
I'd take JT over any of the 2014 QBs. Hes perfect for Meyer's system, and by the time he starts he should have a plethora of weapons surrounding him. buckEYEdr2B wrote: It would be nice to get a good one in 2014... RE: 2014 QBs
I hope JT can pass the ball better than Braxton, I feel that his inability to make plays dowdown field consistently, hurts our recruitment of WRs and TE who want to move on to the next level. RE: 2014 QBs
he is a sophomore...that had ZERO coaching last season. He has improved vastly and will only get better bucksup wrote: I hope JT can pass the ball better than Braxton, I feel that his inability to make plays dowdown field consistently, hurts our recruitment of WRs and TE who want to move on to the next level.

RE: 2014 QBs
Yeah because thats whats going to stop OSU from getting WRs/Tes (despite landing marshall, jacobs, baugh, etc) And what the hell, did you not watch him pass for 2 TDs and 220+ last game despite 3 drops. bucksup wrote: I hope JT can pass the ball better than Braxton, I feel that his inability to make plays dowdown field consistently, hurts our recruitment of WRs and TE who want to move on to the next level. Not sure what you have been watching but he has shown a ton of improvement over last year. He will only continue to develop and get better. bucksup wrote: I hope JT can pass the ball better than Braxton, I feel that his inability to make plays dowdown field consistently, hurts our recruitment of WRs and TE who want to move on to the next level.

RE: 2014 QBs
Illinois was giving up almost 400 yds per gaming passing coming into that game, so 220 yds is not impressive, Illinois could probably be the worst team we played this year. But my post is not about ripping Miller he is what he is, he is a running QB. I'm looking to the future and would like to see a more balanced QB who can throw the ball first and then run the ball. RE: 2014 QBs
I'm surprised that Miller isn't passing a little better. But he's 10 games into his sophomore season.
Pryor completed 56% of his passes as a sophomore, 65% as a junior.
Miller could throw for 350 a game next season for all that we know.

RE: 2014 QBs
250 yards next year should be a reasonable goal for Braxton. He has the talent to do that...just needs to let the game slow down in his head a little. Anxious to watch what he does in these next two games. If he plays well, we should win going away. If he turns the ball over, it will be nerve-wracking.

RE: 2014 QBs
Pryor didn't come into his own until the Rose Bowl game in his Sophomore year. A lot of his completions were 'dink and dunk'. I would say that Braxton is a bit ahead of Pryor at this point in the season. BuckinDayton wrote: I'm surprised that Miller isn't passing a little better. But he's 10 games into his sophomore season.

--------------------------------------------- I'll take JT over any of those guys. Not only developing nicely as a passer, he looks like Braxton when he runs. Not to mention he's playing some of the toughest competition in the nation. There's a reason 247 has him as the top dual threat QB in the class of 2013 and as silly as it sounds I think that's half the reason Urban recruited him. The other half is because of the respect he commands and that's what Urban wants in his QB no matter what.

Or 214 (203 in the Big Ten) yards per game. Pretty much the same thing, right? u r dum bucksup wrote: Illinois was giving up almost 400 yds per gaming passing coming into that game, so 220 yds is not impressive, Illinois could probably be the worst team we played this year.
