Shelton Gibson and Cleveland Heights
Welp Cleveland Heights cried and moaned like babies enough and the Cleveland Court system gave them the 8th spot because of a Senate League forfiet, Cleveland Heights was originally out of the playoffs but they sued the OSHAA and won
Its too bad for Mayfield as this was the first playoff apperance in school history IIRC and it also knocked ashtabula Edgewood out of the playoffs, who would have played Brookfield in D4
Here's hoping Eds wins it 100-0 because its just not right for Mayfield who EARNED a playoff spot to sit at home week 11 and the same for Edgewood but Gibson will get to see another week of football., too bad he plays for a school with terrible awdul morals
Cry enough and yoy get you're own way

Hows that Logan Thomas being the Next Cam Newton point you made before the season? Top 5 pick remember? Better yet hows the Tavon Austin with less TDs per touchis better then DeAnthony Thomas pick looking out? --------------------------------------------- --- RipAndRattle wrote: Must be his 30th by now BuckinDayton wrote: Screen name #? ---------------------------------------------

Cry enough and yoy get you're own way It is Mayfield's 1st D-1 playoff appearance, I'm pretty sure they made it in D-II a couple of years ago, perhaps even several times.

Re: Shelton Gibson and Cleveland Heights
I played for North Canton Hoover in high school, and we played Mayfield in the Division 1 1984 state playoffs (semi-finals) and beat them 30-0 in the Akron Rubber Bowl. So if it's the same Mayfield, they've been in the playoffs before

Re: Shelton Gibson and Cleveland Heights
Yeah it was Edgewood in D4 first playoff apperance, not mayfield but Edgewood would have also been out of the playiffs if the rulling was not over-turned --------------------------------------------- --- stxbuck wrote: AussieBuckeye wrote: Welp Cleveland Heights cried and moaned like babies enough and the Cleveland Court system gave them the 8th spot because of a Senate League forfiet, Cleveland Heights was originally out of the playoffs but they sued the OSHAA and won

Re: Shelton Gibson and Cleveland Heights
Yep, not the first rodeo for Mayfield. We all thought that 84 team was the **** - I was a FROSH (tho not a football player) - and watched us get spanked in the rubber bowl.
Oddly, my senior year, 3 of the OL got scholarships to play D1 college ball. Paul Long went to Ohio State and started at center for 2 years. David Lestiko went to UNC but blew out his knee as a frosh/soph that ended his career. The last guy, Dave Diebold, went to TSUN and started at TE for them for 2+ years.
Good to hear they get to try again just to get spanked by some catholic school.
