Tracy Sprinkle: 109 tackles / 19 sacks

I dont have Noah Spence/Adolphus Washington stats but I believe they are similar as well

Those are sick stats. His senior film should look pretty good.

Washington had 19 sacks his JR year. Not sure how many he had his SR season, but I know it was a similar amount.

And people (including myself) on this board complained about his commitment.

Well he is nowhere near Jadeveon in terms of physical talent and ability, and he's not as athletic as Washington for a big man.....but I'll be damned if he isn't a legit high 4 star talent. 6'4"/260 guys who move like Sprinkle are rare. He profiles as a starting 3 tech DT or 5 tech DE at Ohio State, and a pretty darn good one at that.

how is Elyria's competition?  Are they D2?

He committed in April and I don't think he went to a lot of camps, which pretty much guarantees you'll get ignored by the recruiting nerds.

Scary thing is... he's so young

Yeah, he should actually be apart of the 2014 class. He turns 17 next year I believe.

Clowney is a special player, seems like he is in the QB's grill every single play, A man amongst boys.

He should just use it as motivation.

Exactly...people need to have faith that the coaches know what type of talent and attitude they want and need...stop getting wrapped up if he is a 4 or 5 or 3...omg he is a 3 why did we waste a scholy...one of best LB's ever at OSU was a 3 star....attitude and heart is not compiled in the star ratings

So I'm assuming he'll back up Washington since they bulked him up to ~290 and are using him as a DT?

I dont think he'll make the two deep as a freshmen. OSU has gotten so much talent there, he might redshirt or play special teams his first year. He is still pretty young, will be turning 17 during next years season I believe.

He is no Clowney (who is?), but he is definitely a great player. When a dude is getting a legit offer as early as he did, star rankings don't matter. The coaches obviously see something and I'll definitely defer (did I use this word right finally?) to Vrabel. Best part about Sprinkle, in my opinion, is his motor. Doesn't take plays off. You can't teach that.

Sprinkle could be a diamond in the rough !  I read OSU was covert in recruiting him...didn't want to spread his recruiting attention...got a feel of his interest level in OSU...he was interested and OSU offered & he immediately commited...

I think Urban Found a few diamonds in the rough this year with Sprinkle, Gardner, Jacobs, and Thompson.
