Just a simple block O with no lettering would have been an improvement. The black looks bad.

I like it better than the old (current still?) one. I'm with lake eerie as far as simple block O tho. That'd be the best.
So, when does it take effect? Gotta redo the bball floor again!

Look like they weren't. They just handed money to a firm to blacken in the text on the old logo. And to be honest, I never liked the original version of this logo either. The old 'block O' was sufficient. Smerc wrote: wtf were they thinking

they should finally fix the bottom of the large black O, the point at the bottom is out of whack. i would do it, but i'd have 2 get paid 4 it. actually the whole text has areas that need worked on.

Yeah, you're right. Never noticed it in the previous version but it really stands out a lot with the solid black. FUGLY! #weak "Do Something Great!" LOL! NOT! |

So, when does it take effect? Gotta redo the bball floor again! That's what I think (if anyone cares what an outside fan thinks) --- the all black on "Ohio State" and the letters being separated more do make it look sharper, and thus better. Though a simple block O would be best. |

There is no way this is the new logo. It is a very expensive proposition to introduce a new logo into such a large and complex organization as OSU athletics. All that was done is someone filled in the letters and made them black, it would take about 2 minutes in Adobe Illustrator.. To justify the massive expense a new logo would have to be different, inspiring, exciting. This is the same crap amatuerish logo with a tiny tweek they've been sporting for too long. My guess this is a hoax.
