A Hurricane's new opinion on defensive holding...

One of the better tweets last night after the Super Bowl:

"DEVELOPING: Tonight 5 fmr Hurricanes on Ravens all changed their opinions of what constitutes defensive holding. #GoBucks"

If they played for the Ravens, wouldn't that just confirm their already existing opinions?

If you were a Hurricane player on that team, and your guy got called for PI/DH, as is what happened you would think you got robbed, as they do.

Flash forward to Sunday night, and you are now a Raven, your guy didn't get called for PI/DH, so now it's ok.

Pretty simple.

In both cases the Hur-Raven player didnt think they held.

Thus NO opinion was changed.  Which contradicts the tweet.

Re: A Hurricane's new opinion on defensive holding...

honestly I don't think any sane Hurricane player would think there weren't callable infractions on the play. I'm sure they were upset in a contextual/situational sense, that they'd been able to hold with impunity so much all game on both sides of the ball that it was unlikely that it would be called at that point.

they and their fans realize they were lucky to get to that OT, and that officiating figured HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE in that, but they should accept that sometimes luck runs out. that was one of those times.
