Doesn't really matter. One game has been over for 10 years and the other one has  been over for less than 24 hours.

Plain and simple...the rule book was instituted for a reason and if you aren't going to use it then throw it the hell out.   I'm so sick and tired of hearing these overpaid announcers keep saying "GOOD NO CALL".  What the hell are they smoking? It's either a penalty or it isn't.

I have to agree with this.  They were both holds, but the SF hold was worse- not a lot more egregious, but still more blatant.
And that ball was very catchable had the WR not been held.  To me it looked like it would have been thrown in a perfect spot where only the wideout could have caught it.
However, I did enjoy Harbaugh's meltdown.  Grow up Jimmy.

  officiating was pretty bad..   They called pass interference on SF  on Baltimore's previous drive where they made a field goal to go up 34-29.   this holding was much worse.. 
anyway,  Harbaugh and niners can only blame themselves... they couldnt get  5 yards in 4 tries ,despite so many offensive weapons?   playcalling lost the game for them.

Terry Porter was in our office today here in Stillwater, Oklahoma.  My co-worker officiates high school and collegiate sports in Oklahoma and Terry stopped by to chat with him.  Most Okies agree he made the right call--had he thrown the flag a second or two quicker there would not have been such controversy.
