Didnt pace play for chicago in 2009? If so, pace should be a first year lock for HOF in 2014.

2014 recruiting wish list
1. Kyle Allen
2. Jamarco Jones
3. Raekwon McMillan

Ignore

It appears he played in 2009 and was released in March of 2010. I don't know if 2010 counts as time spent/played in the NFL.?  So either 2014 or 2015 for eligibility unless someone can clarify.

So we're not using stats to measure a player's accomplishments anymore?  1,100 receptions, 14,000 yards, and 130 touchdowns is nothing but impressive.  He's far better than any receiver to ever come out of Alabama.
OK, then why aren't Gradishar and Tatum in?

We know you are a complete dumb-ass, but I have to know what...

"Lots of stats, but nothing amazing...."

Means in relation to HoF entrance.

Either he has "lots of stats", which is the basis for getting in, or he doesn't.

Looks like Deep South Boy is trolling a little harder than usual. No way to spin the facts that Ohio State has more NFL hall of famers than Alabama.

Sometimes no matter what we do as fathers, our children fall away and make horrible choices. I hope it never happens to you.

Many Congratulations to Cris!!

Re: Cris Carter is a Hall of Famer

Back to back 122 cstch seasons. Led the league in td catches 3 times and played with pretty awful qbs.
Getting his numbers with guys like Daunte Culpepper, and old Randall Cunningham, Brad Johnson, Jeff George,
JimMcmahon,Sean Salsberry, Rich Gannon. Yeah not quite a who's who of quarterbacks.

He has the numbers and 8 straight years in the pro bowl and 2 all pros.....he's in.

Pace wasn't eligible.  Don't think Jones was either.

My mistake. Ogden retired in 2008. Pace played in 2009 and was released by Chicago in March, 2010.

"but nothing that amazing..." automatically consigns your offering to the "file under idio-ostrich" heap.  the Monk analogy is inane beyond belief. your post is predictably borne of resentment, though probably more of OSU than Carter himself.

Carter was nothing if not spectacular beyond belief. his game was about humbling DBs, who were seldom beaten by his speed, but routinely by his otherwise freakish athleticism. Carter was the anti-thesis of Jerry Rice, whose highlight reel is basically one play on a loop; the gathering in of the perfectly placed 8 yard slant followed by a straightline 50-yard-frightened-deer-gallop to the end zone, all of it untouched. Carter was soooooooo many things; while he was a schooled meticulous route runner, most of what he'll be remembered for is simply unteachable. it's god -given talent -- the impossibly graceful falling-out-of-bounds tippy-toes-sideline-catch with body control, leaping high with hapless DBs clinging to him, sustaining major contact and still spearing the ball one-handed. in a world that has become increasingly highlight driven, his reel is multifarious and unmatched, even though it began nearly 3 decades ago. THAT'S what makes his delay so absurd.
