RE: We are very fortunate to have Gene Smith.

Do u think a Mich fan that went to Miami applied to osu? haha And no doubt I would have got in, just got a lot a lot of money from the Redhawks.  Second choice was Case Western (Best engineering in Ohio / was going to play baseball).

Was joking btw too, I have lots of friends that go/went to osu (20+).  I know it's a fine institution

well it's a little easier to find a osu fan that went to osu since everyone gets in tongue

Re: We are very fortunate to have Gene Smith.

Yea no doubt.  I think osu comes around 14-21 of Bama but still don't think that is good enough for a title chance.  Oregon I think comes within 10 of Bama (higher scoring)

What does 2009s Oregon team have to do with this team vs the 2012 bucks?  Sure you guys could beat any team if you had your best game possible, but statistically IMO Bama/Oregon beats you 90-95% of the time & Georigia/A&M 80% of the time.  Like I said earlier I think South Carolina / Kansas State vs you guys would've been an awesome matchup (even Fsu or Stanford)
Thenationalchampions wrote: What makes you think Oregon couldn't be beaten by OSU? OSU already beat an identical Oregon team in 2009.  Oregon looks great against Pac12 and Big 12 defenses.

As for Alabama, obviously they are the best team, so likely OSU loses as well, but 14 pts seems very reasonable.  ND is terrible and needed five turnovers to squeak by UM; whereas OSU tried to choke the UM game away and blew about four TDs while in the red zone.  OSU was clearly the better team, but just threw away too many opportunities.

Not to mention atm beat bama, so you never know, an upset is always possible.

I was simply trying to ask who thought you guys would beat Oregon or come within 14 of Bama.  I think you guys had a very solid team, will be in the chase for the National Title next year, but claiming a title for 2012-13 not so much.  Again IMO

Highly doubtful that this guy was admitted to either Michigan, Miami, or Ohio State.

Re: We are very fortunate to have Gene Smith.

So, to make sure I have this.

OSU dominated Miami and caused the 5 turnovers.

ND is terrible and they beat ND by 7 with turnovers.

OSU should have blown out Michigan, but only won by 5, even though clearly the better team.

Is that about right?

Re: We are very fortunate to have Gene Smith.

So you think Oregon is that close to Bama?  Dude, people said Oregon was going to annihilate OSU in 2009 too.  Yes this is a different OSU team (one that still went 12-0,) but the point is, the Pac 12 and the Big 12 are both bottom of the barrel when it comes to defense.  atm and georgia?  what's so great about those two teams?  Did you see what SoCar did to ga?  Both have weaknesses like OSU.

The only reasonable argument is alabama..i wouldn't mention Oregon in the same sentence.

I resorted to showing you how foolish you look.  Your opinion is neither good nor surprising considering the source.  Putting IMO next to everything you say does not make you seem any more intelligent.  Acting like Osu would have no chance vs Oregon when they beat them 2 years ago makes you look dumb, IMO.  This is easy.

Re: We are very fortunate to have Gene Smith.

No, I think you are the confused one. ND beat ALL three of your common opponents by more than you did in regulation-lol and you think they are terrible. Give them another cupcake instead of Alabama and they are undefeated just like you. What a joke, ND is terrible. lol  ND 20 MSU 3 in East Lansing.  OSU 17 MSU 16 in East Lansing.lol

Not to mention that Oregon barely beat an undeserving 7-5 Wisconsin team in the Rose.   Keep spinning your rationalization cycle.  Stick with the Cryami threads.

OSU may have "owned" them, but they sure as hell didn't "own" them like big bad Boise St. did! Remember when that game was 19-0 Boise late in the 4th? lol

Re: We are very fortunate to have Gene Smith.

Three years ago: Same fast paced Oregon offense, only w/LaMichael James (perhaps you've heard of him?) and Legarette Blount.  Better defense too -I believe Oregon led the nation in total defense that year.  Same pinheads like you predicted OSU would lose big.  Same pinheads think basketball on turf (Oregon) is the key to winning NCs, while ignoring defense and physical play.

haha you're sounding foolish trying to justify calling me a dumass for an opinion & a pretty fair one at that.

When did I say osu would have no chance against Oregon?  9 out of 10 times I believe they would win, but anything can happen in college football.  Again coming from a fanbase that always says the past is no indicator of the present (all time mich / osu record), Oregons team 2 years ago & that osu team beating them has nothing to do with Braxton and co beating them this year.

Learn to make an argument instead of resorting to name calling, ad hominem attack.  Focus on why would they have a chance against Bama / Oregon?  Not why a recent educated, computer science grad is dum.

You crack me up tongue
