BTW this is not a bashing on him cause I think the kid can ball. Classes didn't start back up until this week. School's been out there since the second week in December.

That term has been used in Dallas for at least a decade. I think they even made a movie (or tried to) about the phenomenon. Smerc wrote:

They're readily identifiable because of their shiny shirts, blacked out BMWs and overpriced Uptown condos. Take away the terrain and Dallas is just like Los Angeles with fewer fake boobs (though not by much) and better air.

Leasing 328s in Dallas must be the easiest job in town. But I don't think real 30K millionaires have apartments in Uptown. Probably Addison. coopercougar wrote:

You would be surprised. The West Village/Cityplace area is infested with them and it's only going to get worse since several new towers are due to open in the coming years. And yes, Addison is big with that crowd too. Go to Twin Peaks on a Friday night. It's shiny shirt hell.

SalemBuckeye wrote: A 3 series its a symbol of wealth? Laughable Not stock. The shiny shirts black them out because apparently that is more of a status symbol I don't know but you can drive around Knox/Henderson and pass a dozen of these every mile... I have noticed recently though that the shiny shirts with the more impressive credit lines are leaning towards the AMG line of Mercedes. I'm seeing a lot more CL63 AMGs... blacked out of course... being driven by that crowd.

Hence the "30K" part of "30K millionaire". That's part of the joke. SalemBuckeye wrote:

But that is a proper "status" automobile (aren't they in excess of $140K standard?). No real $30K Millionaire could ever afford such a ride. coopercougar wrote: I have noticed recently though that the shiny shirts with the more impressive credit lines are leaning towards the AMG line of Mercedes. RE: Johnny Football and thousand dollar bar tabs...
ENNIS, Texas -- Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel recently got a speeding ticket near Dallas and a local judge thought it newsworthy enough to post something on Facebook. The freshman Texas A&M quarterback got the ticket in Ennis, a small city about 35 miles south of Dallas. The Ennis court did not immediately respond to a request Friday for a copy of the ticket or for details about the incident, which was first reported by USA Today.
A municipal judge in Ennis posted about the ticket on Facebook. Manziel's name wasn't mentioned. Instead, the judge wrote about "a certain unnamed (very) recent Heisman Trophy winner."
Manziel has drawn attention recently for Twitter photos that have shown him drinking champagne at a Dallas club with his mom and flashing cash at an Oklahoma casino.

My office in Grand Prairie has multiple 3 series or similar class Audis in the parking lot everyday and all are driven by the admin staff who make $32k each. I live in Uptown BTW.

Maybe 10 years ago but I bet the Big D is taking the lead in the fake boob race.
