Clowney to the NFL?
Saw a guy from the browns board who has pretty good sputh car info says the Lattinore injury has scared Clowney and his family into considering sueing the NFL for entry or not playing a down of CFB next year

There is insurance for that. We need to call it what it really is. They want their payday a year early. Re: Clowney to the NFL?
Yeah, that's a good idea. Someone should sue the NFL to be allowed to enter early. Oh wait, someone already did that.

I'm not buying it though. Unless he's got people in his ear that are worried about their money. Don't think the kid would worry about stuff like that. Just go out and do what you do.

Don't you have to be either a jr or RS soph to declare? If so Clowney is only a sophomore!

Re: Clowney to the NFL?
If he decided to sue, there's no telling how long it would take to make it through the court system. He might as well come back for one more year, play well, and get the big paycheck. Nothing wrong with waiting on something you really want.

Re: Clowney to the NFL?
Wonder if anyone has ever argued that they technically could have graduated high school as a junior (had enough credits) therefor are 3 years removed.
Im sure the NFL will say "you dont have to play college ball. Its your choice".

Re: Clowney to the NFL?
I believe it's based upon your graduating class when you entered hs. So even if you graduate early, you are not eligible.

Re: Clowney to the NFL?
It's the NFL's right to set criteria for its employees, just like any other work place, so long as the criteria are not discriminatory. The NFL's rule on three-years-removed from HS graduation is akin to an age requirement in most work places. SurfOhio wrote:

Re: Clowney to the NFL?
If he's that worried and that sure of his draft status, un-enroll from S. Carolina, and hire trainers for the year.

He was NFL ready this year. Kind of un-American to keep him out of his soon to be job.

Clowney has an exceptional gift, University's are making millions, while he's losing millions. edit: actually i don't care, these guys are set for life. nevermind I agree with you

Re: Clowney to the NFL?
I don't want kids going straight to the NFL. It has ruined CBB and is hurting the NBA. However, it sure seems anti-American to deny kids the right to work.

RE: Clowney to the NFL?
Are there any professions that have age restrictions once you become an adult? The only one I know off the top of my head is the presidency, which is kind of great big exception.
