Rivals 2013 Recruiting Rankings

Looks like ND's 2 lousy decades are over. Overall OSU is still the strongest program in the midwest, but get used to ND, unless Kelly bolts to the NFL, they're gonna be around for awhile. I see some epic playoff clashes in the not too distant future.

RE: Rivals 2013 Recruiting Rankings

Recruiting is a media vote man. It is all about the pretty baby. Look at say Notre Dame and Texas AM have a good seaso nand you go from 20 and 10 and 15 and 27 last two year to 1 and 8. Really. Certain schools, tosu, bama, usc etc if they list a kid he will go up 1 or 2 stars from where he was the day before. You just look at it if you have a team in the top 10 they probably did pretty good, top 20 maybe did just as well depending on the kid and coaching. But to say anybody is hear to stay looking at Rivals or any of those boards is fools gold. In the same breath you said unless Kelly leaves so you except it has a lot more to do than rivals saying you are no. 1. Look at Notre Dame recruiting classes the last 20 years all ranked pretty high no results.

Vanderbilt goes 9-4 and pulls in a #15 recruiting class.

He was an ok recruiter, never had the success that Kelly is having though. Basically just recruited at normal Notre Dame level.
