Ole Miss / Pitt

14-0 Rebs pending an officials review.

Same Pitt team who lost to YSU and took ND to triple overtime.

Re: Ole Miss / Pitt

Ole Miss is a much improved team and has one of the best wideouts in the country in Moncrief.

RE: Ole Miss / Pitt

Ole Miss led LSU 35-28 in the 4th. (Lost 41-35)
Ole Miss led Vandy 26-20 with 2:43 in the 4th. (Lost 27-26)
Ole Miss led Texas A&M 27-17 with 7:00 in the 4th. (Lost 30-27)

Texas, Georgia, and Bama whooped them pretty good.

Vandy and Ole Miss are on the rise.

Auburn and Tennessee are declining.

RE: Ole Miss / Pitt

Ole Miss led Georgia 10-0 as I recall, and was whomped by Texas.

Ole Miss is "OK" but let's not get carried away by beating Pitt, if they do.

I'd bet Auburn and Tennessee both make a "major bowl" before Vandy and Ole Miss do.

Shady refs keeping Pitt in this game. No replay of course to hide the charade. Curious personal foul after Pitt had a 4th down.

Re: Ole Miss / Pitt

Ole Miss is playing without the full number of scholarship players and a number of key injuries. Thier specialty teams are full of warm bodies. What they have done this year is pretty impressive. They are an average team but they are definatly on the rise.

They can bring in 35 this year and be up to 85

I like the game that happens on this forum where we look at who beat who and extrapolate who the best teams are, according to how we would like to see things turn out.

Ole Miss smashed a Pitt team that played ND close, therefore Ole Miss would beat ND and deserves to be in the NC game...  rolleyes

I rarely see any threads about the Big 10 when I'm on SEC boards.

when Pitt played ND, it was the shady refs that kept ND alive.

This.

There was a horrible PI call against Pitt with about 11 minutes left in the game on a 4th down play with PItt up by 14. Pitt should have had the ball, and likely, would have won the game at that point. Instead, phantom PI call, and next play a ND TD.

Not to mention that there were two players of the same number on the field for ND when Pitt missed a winning FG in OT.

ND should not be in the championship game.

I like the game where opposing fans come here to lecture OSU fans about what's discussed on OSU boards.

Even though, I'm guessing SuwaneeDawg20 isn't an OSU fan.

Tin, I won't jump to that conclusion but watching that game yesterday I was rather amazed at the athleticism on the Ole Miss side compared to Pittsburg. Athlete wise it was no contest. You can tell that Ole Miss is still trying to figure out what to do on offense most of the time. If they were a little more polished on offense they probable score two more TDs.

And to think this Pittsburg team took Notre Dame down to the wire.

Each "side" in such discussions will highlight ONLY the games a team played where they looked bad or had a bad looking score for whatever reason.

Few are willing to look over the entire set of results.

LOL Tin Weasel. You are so right. And I like your signature as well. The guys on this board that make thread after thread about the SEC, I mean minutia too, then have the gonads to say WE are obsessed, are among the best subjects for psychoanalysis that I have ever come across.
