Re: TEXAS A/M BEST TEAM IN NATION BAR NONE

A team with an athletic D-line such as Florida or LSU gave A&M alot of problems because they were fast enough to keep Manzel in check from scrambling. Alabama doesnt have that kind of line this season which is why they lost and i dont think OSU had that kind of line either but next season with Washington, Spence, Bosa and Manzel would be in trouble

agree, just as alabama was a poor matchup to AM, AM has teams they match up poorly against.

it was still early in the last half of the season, so...

I do not think uat or Notre Dame could beat them either...  (oh yeah...uat didn't).  Though they lost to UF and LSU in weeks 1 and 2.  They would boatrace both of them today.  Johnny Football is hitting on all cylinders.

Oregon only cause they might could keep pace in a boatrace...
LSU beat them in week 8.  The legend about how LSU caught them early in the season continues to grow.  That's 2/3 of the way through the season when they lost to LSU.
I rarely see any threads about the Big 10 when I'm on SEC boards.

Big playoff scenario (like some on here prefer) = regular season becomes more irrelevant.

I don't see how 120 teams trying to nab, say, 8 playoff spots makes the regular season irrelevant.  But I'm not sure what you meant by "big playoff scenario".  8-12 teams (with a 12 team scenario being set up like the NFL playoffs) would be a lot of fun and still keep the season relevant.
The door has opened to a playoff.  Give it time and the big playoff will occur.  Everyone does it (i.e., bloated playoffs), why not Div 1-A football?

Go BUCKS!!!

RE: TEXAS A/M BEST TEAM IN NATION BAR NONE

"This is the best defense we've played this season," Sam Houston coach Willie Fritz said, "and (Texas) A&M and Baylor have great defenses. They really play with leverage, stay over the top, tackle real well, don't make very many mistakes, got to earn every yard you get. They do an excellent job."

This is in reference to North Dakota St. who Sam Houston St. played yesterday for the FCS championship.  TSHSU played A&M in mid Nov., the week after they beat Alabama.  It should be noted Sam Houston scored more points on TAMU than any team in the SEC but Missouri who scored 1 more point (28 for SHSU and 29 for Mizzou). Louisiana Tech put up 57 on A&M in mid-Oct, the week before the LSU loss.
