Young QB, new coaching staff. How did the Giants beat the Patriots in the superbowl, the Patriots were undefeated and clearly the best team throughout the season. ATM right now is arguably the best team in the nation IMO, that doesn't mean they have the best record just playing the best ball. BuckMike wrote: How did they lose twice then ? Teams like A/M are not stay at home powers meaning...you gota give them a chance this year or who knows when there next chance is.Yes I think there success will be limited due to Texas Longhorns returning to power soon.

A&M has grown as a team during the season. They would be tuff in a four team playoff in 2014. They are playing very well right now.

The shame is losing to an over-rated Florida team at home and to LSU at home who eeked out a win against 3-game winner Auburn and gave-up 22 points to 1-AA Towson only a few weeks earlier. Go BUCKS!!! OHIO STATE in '13!!!

Texas A&M is playing as well as anyone and could have a real shot at winning it all in a playoff system.
However, they were ranked #9 going into the game last night, so even an 8-team playoff would have left them out.

I don't see how 120 teams trying to nab, say, 8 playoff spots makes the regular season irrelevant. But I'm not sure what you meant by "big playoff scenario". 8-12 teams (with a 12 team scenario being set up like the NFL playoffs) would be a lot of fun and still keep the season relevant.

Knee-jerk reaction, due in large part to Oklahoma's defense being a sieve.

That Gif is awesome! Also, I think Oregon would have something to say if there were a playoff.

RE: TEXAS A/M BEST TEAM IN NATION BAR NONE
aTm wouldn't have made a four-team playoff, even though I agree that they were certainly one of the four best teams at the end of the year. The only reason you guys can stomach the thought of the Aggies winning it all, however, is that you still think of them as being in the B12. Because there is NO WAY y'all are willing to anoint another SEC team.
And you'd also love to have aTm instead of Bama. Sorry boys...

Guaging by OU win is hard to do. One game OU looks like world beaters (Texas game) then in another average at best (ND game). Johnny is a great player with a solid team around him. No question but I think Oregon, Alabama and Stanford all just as good or better.
Maybe tomorrow, when today will be yesterday things will be clearer.
GO BUCKS !!

Not this year. Maybe next year. I do not think the Buckeyes could beat them this year.

Though they lost to UF and LSU in weeks 1 and 2. They would boatrace both of them today. Johnny Football is hitting on all cylinders. Oregon only cause they might could keep pace in a boatrace...

Oregon only cause they might could keep pace in a boatrace... Do your final rankings come out Tuesday also? The nation is going to be excited to see if you have aTm #1 or Oregon #1. And imagine how disappointed Bama and ND fans will be to see they didn't get to grab the ring.

RE: TEXAS A/M BEST TEAM IN NATION BAR NONE
I think the SEC move worked out perfectly for A&M really probably better than they could have ever hoped. Now part of that is hitting the fen lottery with Manziel. However if you look at recruiting I think between Al and LSU they have one TX commitment at this point. All those TX kids that want to play in the best conference in the country can now without leaving TX and again on top of that right now they all know Manziel with be there 3 more years. I think A&M is in a position more than any other team in the country to just blow up as a power over the next 3 years and by then you can move forward. Hats off obviously they don't deserve to play for NC game anymore than LSU or Georgia did but the future looks very bright.

Oregon only cause they might could keep pace in a boatrace... LSU beat them in week 8. The legend about how LSU caught them early in the season continues to grow. That's 2/3 of the way through the season when they lost to LSU.
