1-4 on New Years Day and 2-5 overall. Not too mention, a 1-9 record in the last 10 Rose Bowls. What do you guys think it will take for the B1G to get back?

About what was expected. A couple of games (Minny, Michigan) could have gone either way.

Didn't help the crap teams miving up a gsme with us and State Penn being suspended. Michigan was its usual embarrassing self. Nebraska was outmatched and who invited Purdue.

this conference sucks, i really thought they would win more games but i put faith into some unathletic teams with average coaching. Not a good combination

What do you guys think it will take for the B1G to get back? Having Ohio St. and Penn St. being bowl eligible.

Re: Big Ten goes 2-5 in bowl season
Well like many, I predicted 2-5 and Michigan State and Northwestern would win, not hard to figure out with those match up's, even though a few teams put up good fights. The final score is all that matters. Congrats Mark Dantonio and MSU, and Fitz and Northwestern, you two carried the only two victory flags for the Big Ten, kudos to Dantonio and Fitz!

It could have been anywhere from 0-7 to 4-3 (if Michigan & Minny had pulled it), with an outside shot at 5-2, assuming Wisky somehow beats Stanford, which IMHO was unlikely. Nebraska's lack of D did them in again, and Purdue was clearly in way over their heads. So assuming the outcome was likely to be between 0-7 & 4-3, it came out right in the middle... with 2 wins. So no surprise overall, really.

Definitely, and that MSU win was a gutsy comeback. Plus NW's win was a huge monkey (all the way from 1949) off their back. Big wins for both programs.

What do you guys think it will take for the B1G to get back? The 2 best BIG teams did not play in a Bowl in 2012

RE: Big Ten goes 2-5 in bowl season
The only team I thought would win was NW. MSU surprised me and most games were competitive and very entertaining. These were the better games of the bowl season by far.
Hard to win many bowl games when 2 of your better teams were left at home so that all the other teams have to play "up"...
