When did big ten people become such ACC fans? When did you people start living vicariously through what the the ACC does? I thought you all hated the ACC.
What are you going to say today when the big ten goes 0 for 5? I know, cheer for the ACC. ?? Each game is unique.....differant variables EXCEPT scum - hope they get their ass kicked every game

Not a good result for the SEC.
Florida State and Clemson appeared to be very overrated 11-2 / 10-2 teams who got fat off of playing in the ACC.

I think the win would get more notice if both FSU and SCar had not gotten whipped by SEC teams in their last game. ACC may actually get have a winning record in bowl games this year. GT, CLemson have won, and FSU has a very easy matchup. 3-2 now with only FSU game left to play.

Re: Chick-Fil-A: LSU/Clemson
wiz heading in to todays games you have to say the acc has stepped up the most so far--wins over lsu and usc and a win against rutgers. the pac 12 has taken it on the chin so far...2-4 with wins over nevada and navy. the big 12 has been solid..3-3 with wins over oregon st and ucla. looks like a good bowl season for the acc.

Re: Chick-Fil-A: LSU/Clemson
ACC has beaten Rutgers, USC, and LSU (3 teams who are suspect on offense - even USC without Barkley). Point is I don't think FSU and Clemson would be 11-2 / 10-2 in the SEC, Big 12, Big 10, or Pac 12. wizwiz wrote: buckeyemark wrote: Not a good result for the SEC.

This is what I've been saying. They've had some of the worst QB's in the nation the last 4 years. How is it so hard for them to get just 1 QB that's halfway competent?

I heard a lot of rumblings around LSU that the coaches were riding hard on the players the past two weeks and that they were hyped up for this game. Never in my wildest imagination did I think Miles would try to turn Mettenturd into Tom Brady.
Miles should be forced to run stairs after this one. He really is retarded. I would love to see his Wonderlick score.

GatorNation4Lyfe wrote: Yep, the only saving grace is that LSU lost the game. I would have been pissed into the New Year if they would have won a game they didn't deserve. I am totally convinced that Les Miles was trying to lose this game on purpose. He had DB's laying 15 yards off WR's, letting Hopkins go for close to 200 yards receiving, giving up a 4th and forever, pass the ball like this Methlab QB was Joe Montana, kept throwing and throwing, going 3 and out on every series and put his defense out there over and over again without a clue.
All is right with the world for that clown to lose this. Happy New Year.
OhiozFinezt wrote: I already text my buddy and told him I'm rooting for Clemson now and screw my parlay card cause LSU and Miles are so stupid Yeah i'm definitely not gonna lose any sleep over it man. My bet was only a $2 8 team parlay to win $300 and had LSU won I liked my chances for the last 4 teams to cover the spread...and watch they will. I've had some of the most unlucky parlay cards you can possibly find. Here's a few that come to mind...I had a 5 teamer and 4 of the teams already covered but I needed Maryland to win by 5 points. They scored a TD to get to a 4 point lead but the kicker misses the XP to stay at 4. 50 seconds left and they're down on the 20 and can kick a FG but Edsall elects to to punt the damn ball and I miss my 5 team by 1 f**king point! One of my most recent cards...5 out of 6 picks already covered but I picked Florida to beat Arizona by 1 point. They're up 6 points with 36 seconds so i'm getting my clothes on to go cash this baby in and all of a sudden they turn the ball over 3 consecutive inbounds and Arizona scores everytime which cut it to 1, Boykins(90% FT shooter) gets fouled in the bonus so he goes to the line and bricks it Arizona goes down and scores and wins the game. I was so damn pissed that I just vowed to quit betting. Now I only do like fun $2 cards that don't mean a thing to me. Hoping for a better year lol Happy New Years I'm surprised you didn't start breaking sh*t after that game if $1500 was on the line because LSU was so stupid that they could've been up 15 if not for stupid redzone playcalling and a -5 could've easily been covered. I won't be picking them in big games anymore because their' offense always stinks

But then I thought better of it and think you are more correct. Well, at least both teams got to enjoy terrible Southern food. Wait I retract that, but I'll hit post anyways.

Re: Chick-Fil-A: LSU/Clemson
I agree with BuckeyeMark; FSU is #6 in the country in W-L percentage since they came aboard in 1992, with Boston College residing in 31st place since then.
That was certainly a great win for Clemson nevertheless, but in light of the fact that Swinney has now been there for five years, why aren't they a much deeper team, or among the top 15-20 programs out there, as opposed to not really being that close to the neighborhoods where schools such as Ohio St., USC, OU, Alabama & LSU are talent-level wise?
I know that they missed out on Clowney & Lattimore, but in light of the fact that FSU is 28th in W-L percentage in the 11 years since they lost to OU, why is Clemson tied for 32nd with Southern Miss during that same time span, which clearly shows an inability to have overtaken the Seminoles during those 11 years?

Re: Chick-Fil-A: LSU/Clemson
You have to look around to find "Southern food" in downtown ATL. Pitty Pat's Porch claims to have it, and isn't bad, but the better places are holes in the wall out of the downtown area.
If a northern city would like a decent bowl game, the way the CFA Bowl has gone about it would be a good model to track. Key of course is to find deep pockets. This is one of few bowls that sells out consistently, and it often is a great game.

FWIW, the 8,557,000 viewers of this game resulted in a 5.6 rating, making it the highest-rated non-BCS game ever.
No kidding, folks

It was a game worth watching, that is for sure. That time slot all alone New Year's Eve, get two good teams matched up, it has off the wall potential. UCLAMarv wrote: FWIW, the 8,557,000 viewers of this game resulted in a 5.6 rating, making it the highest-rated non-BCS game ever.
