RE: Chick-Fil-A: LSU/Clemson

Clemson deserved this game but there's no doubt that Les Miles lost this game for LSU. 1st and 10 and you pass the ball when Clemson has just 3 timeouts with a minute in the game. 2nd and 2 and you pass AGAIN... Incomplete pass, 3rd down and 2 and he passes the ball again??? Clemson got the ball back with a minute to go and all 3 timeouts.

Miles run the ball 3 times then punts, Clemson gets the ball back with less than a minute and no timeouts. The first sack on Boyd basically wins the game...  Miles is a dumb ass.

They kept up about all those AA defensive players at LSU, over and over.
Well guess what, Clemson's 50 extra plays on offense vs. LSU had LSU just spent gassed and Clemson blew by them in the 4th quarter due to that.
Clemson's does not commit two fumbles that give LSU 10 easy points, Clemson wins this game by double digits, they final stats were lopsided for Clemson.
Sammy Watkins got hurt play number 1, could you imagine him and Hopkins together this whole game against a gassed defense?
They had to give Clemson and Tajh Boyd kudos late, the game turned around so fast in Clemson's favor with LSU being gassed, they had no choice but to give Clemson credit late.

Cunningham in 2nd Qtr:  "The SEC is ALWAYS great, but this year even more.  At least 6 teams could have been #1, 2, or 3 in the polls."

They never stopped.  It was sickening to listen to.  Can someone please tell ESPN they got the contract already, they do not need to keep slurping.

Clemson has a change to close with a stellar DL and D class, they are getting pretty darn close to elite status in the trenches, and their skilled players are as good as it gets.

RE: Chick-Fil-A: LSU/Clemson

Miles handed bama that game this year in BR, with the bonehead call he made but I think some things have come back around on him. Remember the auburn a game a few years ago, instead kicking a FG his qb threw a touchdown pass to win the game with not time on the clock or the fake FG against UF with the perfect bounce to the FG kicker who ran for a touchdown, or the fourth down reverse to a freak'in TE against bama to win that game, and going on fourth down, four times in row to beat the gators..  karma is a bitch and it looks like Miles is getting some payback this year.. Re: Chick-Fil-A: LSU/Clemson

I agree--Mike Patrick & Ed Cunningham were really obnoxious tonight in their brown nosing act for the SEC.

LSU's offense has been sputtering all year long thanks to a woeful QB situation, among other things, and it certainly caught up with them tonight.

Clemson outgained LSU in total yards 445-219, passing yards 346-120, and enjoyed a lopsided 32-9 edge in first downs, and a 100-48 margin in total plays.

I thought they were on both teams D*ck pretty much the whole game and cunningham picked clemson to win the game... I don't like them whinning about helmet to helmet hits everytime somebody gets hit.. If I had to hear one more time Boyd is better than last year and this clemson is not the same clemson team that beat by WV, I think I might shoot my tv. Did give LSU some love, but they gave clemson plenty of love also....

Wow.

I posted it before but I'll say it again. Jeremy Hill averaged 10.4 YPC. 10 carries for 125 yards.

Why not run it more.

Maybe he was hurt and we didn't know it. Spencer Ware was in the dog house.
They still have Hilliard, Ford and Blue @ RB.  Guys who could start for a lot of programs.

He would be playing for Tennessee but Kiffin told him to hit the road because he "didn't fit his system"... that system being "losing football games". devil
Wasn't he down to just OSU and Clemson when he committed?

No he was a Vol commit.
He was a Vol commit?  I don't know if UT was still in the running but he must have decommitted before he made his announcement.  I remember it being between at least OSU and Clemson when he committed to the Tigers.  That's why OSU wound up with Kenny Guiton.  They were holding out for Boyd and took Guiton at the last minute after being snubbed.
He didn't decommitt... Kiffin pulled his offer immediately after taking the job.

Yep...Kiffin told Boyd he did not fit his system of a pro-style QB.
So KIffin went with Tyler Bray.

And now Bray's leaving early for the draft?

Any opinions on whether Boyd follows him or decides to come back?

There are some good ones..... John L. Smith, Les Miles, and Spurrier can all be entertaining post-game.

Agreed on those, seems like Sweeney's emotion, demeanor and way of speaking are like that of a fan or something.

LSU played rather poorly, no debate about that. Clemson deserved the win because they were the better team last night.

When did big ten people become such ACC fans? When did you people start living vicariously through what the the ACC does? I thought you all hated the ACC.

What are you going to say today when the big ten goes 0 for 5? I know, cheer for the ACC.biggrin

I love LSU's D and running game, but their passing attack? Yuck.

Good W for Clemson.

LSU's passing game has been a mess the past several years except for Matt Flynn; compare their last 4-5 starting QBs to numerous other teams out there over that time.
