Re: 9 of 32 NFL starting QB

He was starting for Philadelphia, but is now out due to a hand injury.

As far as replacing an injured Vick, I would have to say Foles was looking better than Vick and would have kept the starting job in 2012 if not for injury.

4 of the 9 are rookies (assuming Foles was counted among them).

RE: 9 of 32 NFL starting QB

I like Foles a lot. A liked him coming out of high school and I liked him coming out of Zona. He's a huge kid who is surprisingly mobile in the pocket. Reminds me a lot of Big Ben. There were some reports recently saying Philly is going to make a hard push for Chip Kelly. It true, they may part ways with Foles (though he could run that offense with a few minor modifications). If they do fire Andy Reid, Reid will get another job promptly and he may try to take Foles with him. Kid has a ton of potential.

Other than USC, name a team that has a better string of QBs than UT over the last 15 years.
Purdue ? Florida ?
Okay, list the Purdue and UF QBs over the last 15 years and compare them to:

Major Applewhite
Chris Simms
Vince Young
Colt McCoy
Garret Gilbert
I'm not saying Gilbert is an all-time great. I'm asking who has had a better run of QBs, i.e. not just cherry pick the best.

Tebow, Leak, Berlin, Grossman, Palmer, Johnson

Purdue

Drew Brees, Kyle Orton, Curtis Painter, ect.....

etc doesn't answer the question. You gotta list the good with the bad...

FLA pretty impressive.

Re: 9 of 32 NFL starting QB

Maybe I was being pedantic, but when this thread was made there were 8 TX QBs that are starting in the NFL. If you going to count someone as a starter because of an injury the real starting QB, then when they get hurt they shouldn't be considered a starter.
