what happened with Pryor, Posey, Boom, Adams, ect isnt uncommon at all.... its more the norm... they just got caught

they may have gotten caught and were held responsible and had to pay the consequences, but they're just doing what everyone is doing

like I said... its like a college kid getting an underage.... sure, you drink underage and it's against the law, so you only have yourself to blame if you get caught.... but in reality, you have a campus full of underage kids walking around drunk and cops turning a blind eye to it 99.9% of the time

I think people have the right to not like Pryor or not root for him.... he got in trouble and hurt Ohio State.... but the reality is, if you hate Pryor for what he did, you cant say you support Ohio State football or basketball and you really cant be a fan of college sports in general.... because athletes are living the good life while in college and doing alot of things they shouldnt be..... its just that 99.9% of them never get in trouble

just like a parent has the right to be angry at their kid for getting an underage and breaking the law, even if 99.9% of the underage kids on campus get away with it

I don't hate Pryor but this a ridiculous statement.  Pryor's treatment at OSU went well beyond pampered, and Tressel's handling of the entire situation only magnified the problem.  To say I cannot be a fan of Ohio State if this situation pissed me off, is dumb.

A bunch of adults holding grudges against some teenagers because of their stupid mistakes. Im sure you made mistakes as well as your children, and you wasnt hated forever and you didnt hate your children forever. Those kids loved Ohio State and carried alot of passion into games. I still remember Pryor as a true freshman looking PISSED OFF on the sideline when Boeckman got our asses kicked by USC his first year. Or all those times he destroyed scUM? He led us past Oregon and Arkansas in bowl games and should of had the W against Texas. What happend is in the past now. Im hoping to see TP get the start for Oakland, and force Palmer out of there and take Leinhart's job.

that is a fact

college sports are a dirty dirty business..... and you better believe players are getting theirs... whether its at Ohio State, Alabama, USC, Penn State, Pitt, West Virginia, Kentucky, etc

and sorry.... most of your Ohio State "heroes" arent squeaky clean like you think they are... they were 18 to 21 year old college students with pretty much nothing (like most college kids), and taking what they can get away with

go look on the Raiders website and all their pictures.... they have pictures at charity events.... Pryor is probably involved in more of those than any other player on the team, with a couple of them being events he did by himself

while hes made out to be a selfish thug who cares only about himself, it is pretty far from the truth..... and I can tell you that from personal experiences and stories, from when he was a junior in high school, to at Ohio State, and to where he is at now..... 

sure he made some mistakes at OSU and obviously took plenty of handouts, but I dont think you can judge him on that for the rest of his life.... especially when he is grouped in the 99% of other major college athletes that have benefited from "the system"

Nah, rule changes favor the qb who stays in the pocket and passes as opposed to those that run. Favorable for a qb to sit in the pocket and throw with the changes in no-contact rules for defensive backs. Passing league, see?

It took the rules to change to the point where quarterbacks are treated like women and the refs see themselves as knights in shining armor throwing flags when the women are touched for your vision to become reality.  It's not the same game as it was in 1980.  If you don't have a QB that can run, you're not taking advantage of the rule changes that have been put in place, and you'd better have a guy with the accuracy/ timing of Manning under center to be successful.  These guys wouldn't last in 1980's NFL.  It's almost like watching a different sport.  I see the need for rule changes to better protect players, I just don't like that QBs get to play with a special set of rules.
