Indiana gets regard post of the year. TP much better throwing the ball than tebow. Do you have eyes. Did you watch TP win bowl games throwing because he did.

You are 100% correct. People just don't get the reality of it, and they don't want to. --------------------------------------------- --- ChiTownOSUnut wrote: BuckeyeBash22 wrote:

as are most players and coaches at major universities
you're completely naive to believe otherwise
expecting most of these players not to takes handouts and get benefits is about as similar as expecting college students to not drink until they are 21.... neither one of those things are realistic.... and thus, neither are enforced strictly because it would be impossible to do
Pryor and co got busted for selling/trading stuff for some tattoos.... just be happy that is the extent of what got out and what they got in trouble for because I can guarantee you theyve all taken and have done much worse than that
Sad but true. ---------------------------------------------

I for one hope TP never sees the field in an NFL game. I wish him no ill will, but neither do I wish him any success.

I wish an NFL team would scoop up Vick, Tebow, Vince Young, and TP...!
Base offense would be HEAVY on the read option look... Tebow at QB, Vick to his right at RB (Tebow the power threat, Vick running outside the tackles)... Like what the defense is showing you? Shift Tebow and Vick, all of sudden Vick's passing out of the shotgun and Tebow's picking up the blitz!
Heavily run the QBs... One goes down? Plug in the next one and don't even blink an eye!!!
Best thing is, you can get Tebow, TP, Vince Young, etc, etc, etc for very cheap! With the Browns poor history of starting QBs, I think they should consider this (grant it, I am a steelers fan)!

RE: Terrelle Pryor
I have always wondered why a team doesn't try something like this. If a team does get a running QB, they usually don't have running back ups. You can pick up running quarterbacks cheaply, and you can find big guys that can run block but not pass block. If you built an offense with 2 big tight ends (the guys who can't pass block), have a couple of running quarterbacks and a fullback in the backfield, and one super fast receiver who sprints down the field every play (change him every down so he will keep sprinting and wear out the corners) to keep the defense somewhat honest. You would need a good D, but you could build the O cheaply and invest all the money in the D.

RE: Terrelle Pryor
When I was about 10 years old I asked my dad why the QB wasn't a guy that could also run like a RB. I never used the term dual threat, but that's what I was talking about. So I guess it was about 1979/80 when I had the idea for what we see now in Vince Young, Cam Newton, Terrel Pryor, Braxton Miller...type QB...it just took several years for people to catch on to my idea. kodok wrote: I have always wondered why a team doesn't try something like this. RE: Terrelle Pryor
I think a lot of the TP hates stems from the perception he is a prima donna. People have bought in to all the Michigan fans and there stories. If Braxton would have done the exact same thing TP did I guarantee there would be a lot less haters.

--------------------------------------------- It took the rules to change to the point where quarterbacks are treated like women and the refs see themselves as knights in shining armor throwing flags when the women are touched for your vision to become reality. It's not the same game as it was in 1980. If you don't have a QB that can run, you're not taking advantage of the rule changes that have been put in place, and you'd better have a guy with the accuracy/ timing of Manning under center to be successful. These guys wouldn't last in 1980's NFL. It's almost like watching a different sport. I see the need for rule changes to better protect players, I just don't like that QBs get to play with a special set of rules.

i hope pryor can get out of oakland quick before the coaches ruin his nfl career. hes being wasted.
if he doesnt get meaningful snaps next week vs. san diego then i would demand a trade. Maybe they see something in practice that we don't......just sayin! Not that games are won and lost on the practice field. Pryor might not be any better, but you don't have much to lose if you're Oakland. Why not take a shot? Who has the most potential of their three QBs?

You could do a lot worse than career NFL backup. Just ask Jamarcus Russell or Ryan Leaf.
