Except only one of those guys won a title. Price never coached a game, Shula sucked, Dubose was 1 game over .500 and the last guy only coached 2 years.

While Ara and Lou are coaching legends.

All ND has to do is show up to be a "legend"--the media will see to that.

Just ask Paul Horning.
Except when ND beats Bama, they will have:
1. Ended the SEC 6 NC title winning streak,
2. beat the defending champs
3. beat the Pac-12 Champs, Big 12 champs, and the SEC champs.

Paul Hornung was an exceptional player for ND. So don't pretend like he wasn't a great player.

In 1956 Hornung led ND in the following categories:
-Passing
-Rushing
-Receiving
-Scoring
-Punting
-Kickoff returns
-punt returns
-Passes broken up

Hornung was 2nd on ND's team in INTs and tackles.

Stallings and Saban won titles at Alabama. Two guys.

ND winning will further enhance ND/OSU/Big10 recruiting

ND winning a national title benefits exactly one party -- ND.
Disagree......if ND wins, they benefit BIG TIME.......but

I think all the "SEC" garbage will be tempered
Journalists....will now.....speak of Mid-West football...which will catch the eye of some recruits
I see a ND win as a negative(black eye) for the SEC,
and a positive for the Mid-West
OSU benefit probably = 0, since Coach Meyer is a fantastic recruiter/coach

I agree, Rip. Why would any Buckeye fan want ND to end the streak. If they wait, Urban and his boys will do it next year. The Buckeyes will beat Alabama, LSU, Georgia or Florida in next year's national championship game.

Could you tell me what the Ohio Pick 3 will be tonight?

Thanks! biggrin

Well actually Saban and stallings both won titles and I think those two combined have more than Lou and Ara but I don't really care.. I was joking anyway, Fran,Shula,Dubose, stalling and Saban would be must watch, hell Shula could put his wife on TV too, she is must watch...
Stallings won 70 games in seven years and won a sec and national title. I would have stallings and Saban up against Lou and Ara any damn day of the week... JMO

He was so great and he was beaten out on day one at Green Bay by the unknown and unheralded QB from Bama.

Would not classify Lou as a "Legend"
