Yet we are all supposed to be overwhelmed beyond all believe of SCar last second victory over scUM, both of which had the same conference record. So what is your point with your comment?------------------------------------------------

FSU isn't going to come to the Big 10 and be on an island. The only way it works for them is to bring along a few more regional partners. This would mean going to 18 or 20. As a fan of them, I wouldn't want them to move unless a Southern pod is formed.

Here we go again: Probably!!
Sorry lowiq !! However I’m not going back 30 years (remember you telling me, this is a whole new different time frame) but I will go back eleven years and I agree that different coaches from different areas can effect recruiting areas as well.
So far this year not done yet; Florida St. has 18.
13 from Florida , 2-Alabama, 1 each, LA., VA., NY.
This is as close as to 95% they will get with 72% now and one or two more from the States lowiq mentioned they could reach 85%.
Since 2002 through 2012: Florida 262 recruits;
Florida : 147 (56%)
Georgia : 32 (12.2%)
North Carolina : 5 (2%)
South Carolina ; 5 (2%)
Total four States: 189 (72%) that’s not 95% but not bad, however only 3.8% come from South Carolina and North Carolina .
The above is who signed LOI on recruiting day; don’t know how many didn’t qualify or no shows plus walk-ons and transfers.
I could easily give you the number from each State, but that’s not the question, however, Texas with 10 and Alabama with 9 is Florida States biggest recruiting area other than Fl. and Georgia since 2002.

Please explain how that would be less exciting than FSU's current ACC Atlantic division opponents of Boston College, Maryland, and Wake Forest.

Virginia, along with Rutgers and Maryland, bring PSU's historical recruiting grounds into the conference. Exposure in these states will help PSU rebound sooner rather than later, a big win for the conference (while gaining exposure for the rest of the B1G, also). The move could also help to resurrect Virginia's football program, with more high-profile games and national exposure than they've ever had in the ACC. A school like Missouri would strengthen the rivalry with Illinois, and bring a traditional opponent of Nebraska into the conference (a plus for all 3 programs). Would Missouri jump ship from the SEC, though, so soon after joining? I think it's very possible. The B1G Network is head and shoulders above any other network that's followed it, and the additional content would mean more live games and the accompanying advertising $$. After 1 season in the SEC, it's clear that Missouri is a fish out of water.

Because the moment it got leaked to the SEC front offices, watch out!
