RE: Coaching Carousel
Coombs is 51 according to OSU web site.
Cincy job could come down to him or Narduzzi.

RE: Coaching Carousel
Coombs should definitely get the job!!! Cincinnati born and raised.... Long time high school HC.... Collegiate experience at UC and OSU... And he'd stay as long as they'd have him! This hire just makes too much sense!

Cincy job could come down to him or Narduzzi. Might prove interesting since Narduzzi left MSU under Dantonio 2 years ago. That might give him a slight edge but I believe he would use the job as a stepping stone to a power conference job. Where Coombs might just give UC 10 - 15 years then retire

RE: Coaching Carousel
If Coombs is offered the job, then great for him and he should accept.
But he has a grand total of 6 years as a college coach, none of them as a coordinator. That's a huge jump. Last 3 Cincy coaches have been MAC Coaches or a top DC.

Re: Coaching Carousel
Not sure if anyone saw (or cares) but yesterday South Florida hired Willie Taggart from Western KY. He was rumored for several openings. Took a terrible WKU team that had won 2 games in 2 years to back to back 7-5 seasons and their first ever bowl game this year.

Tuberville to Cincinnati...
Didn't see that coming.
Glad it wasn't Narduzzi. He is a good coach and needs to stay in the Big Ten.

I meant better for him. Neither are great places. What is so awful about Cincinnati? He's not going to live in Over the Rhine.
