Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse...

Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse... Post Rating (1 vote)

There are rumors going around on TOS that there are three other players... that are planning on transferring out.

Who these players might be, and whether or not there is anything to these rumors, is something I do not know.

If this is the case, we will find out just how good a coach JD is.  I guess they now have free time to sit around and reflect on what is going on at Pitt.

Today is April 3rd.  I think this report is two days late and just a joke

IF TRUE, next season will resemble Willard's first season at Pitt where we had to dress (and occasionally play) the team manager - Oliver Antigua.  Ugh!

So much for the ten man rotation next year. Said Dixon is a good coach but his inflexibility to continue to justify this offense last year was flat out stupid. Adams has more athleticism than the many comparisons to other freshman big men are not valid. did he improve yes, was he a factor no. I like to think Dixon knows what is needed going forward, but clearly Pitt is not anywhere near the program it was four years ago. That 10 year extension was a puzzler for me. Especially in light of the fact Dixon doesn't see any problems in the program.

Ug... I can't see Cam Wright leaving. He is not a bad player but Dixon gets him more minutes than he deserves. If he leaves he would have to transfer to a much lower level program (Penn State?) to get any decent playing time.

Moore... might be a possibility.... along the lines of Zeigler. Dixon played him the entire season out of position at PF... and IMO that was insane. Moore... only has one year of eligibility left but.... Zeigler left with just one year of eligibility so Moore could possibly be considering the same.

Dixon has a real problem with playing players out of position... with playing Gibbs almost his entire senior season at PG (where he was terrible) being the worst case... and maybe this is all starting to catch up with him.

twitterverse is saying moore, johnson, wright....

wouldn't be surprised with johnson to make it 4/4 from that class. moore wouldn't make a lot of sense with just 1 year left

If I was Johnson I would stick ... The rate things are going, JD might be forced to play him A LOT, and he could really explode.

But, he makes more sense to transfer than Moore ...

Re: Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse...

I guess we will have to wait and see.  But all 3 if they stay will get real good PT.  Cam is a JD fav and will prob be the starting 2G.  JJM is not a 4 man but with Z playing C it looks like JJM could be the starting 4.  And DJ should play a ton as a wing.

I can see these guys wanting to play in a system where they run more and have more freedom.  They all have showed the ability to play well in this type of game before they came to Pitt.

However, JJM would have to sit out since he is a JR (sr transfer rule does not apply here), DJ has already sat out once year as a RS (he could go JC for one year) and Cam would also have to sit.

I hope they all come back...guess we will find out soon.

If Wright is the starting SG next year, along with Patterson and Robinson on the perimeter... we are in big trouble. Robinson and Patterson are better passers than they are scorers, and we need someone that can score to go along with then. In other words, Durand Johnson.

But, Wright is indeed a Dixon favorite so... Dixon might do this anyways.

Yeah, losing Johnson would be a big loss.

Moore would be worth a lot more if Dixon were playing him at both PF and SF. But, Dixon isn't doing that so.... JJ... should do what is best for him.

We might just be better off though if Wright left. Not a bad player but if he left then Dixon wouldn't be able to play favorites with him.

he was a HUGE factor defensively, and arguing otherwise is stupid.

What is Dixon supposed to say, "Oh Noes! Everything is going bad!"??

Do people think at all when they post.

Cam Wright was the 9th man in the rotation...and received less than 3 more MPG than Durand.

How, exactly is Cam one of Dixon's favorites..when he's LITERALLY 9th on the team in Minutes played????

Now this is a tryly clown comment from a true hate cultist.  Tell us Zara since you know Jaime so well NOT.  Why does he play his "favorites" at the expense of winning a game  and risking his career and reputation.  Your hate and ignorance are incredible.

I've read statements about Dixon showing favoritism towards Lamar, but I also know that when Lamar wasn't playing up to par, Dixon sat his butt down, and put in someone else, but during the comparing 1 player with the other, that was posted reguarly.

Dixon favors the player who is helping the team the most at that time.
